A bilingual service and program allows the entire family to share in the celebration, hosted by the LMU chicano/Latino Student Services office.

Alumni BBq, sept, 2013: Alumni and their families were invited back to campus for the 59th Annual LMU Alumni BBQ. our fantastic alumni volunteers poured slushy margaritas at the Latino Alumni Association Booth, while friends and families posed for fun photos just feet away.

LAA student-Alumni Mixer, April 2014: In its 16th year, the Latino Alumni Association continues to partner with the Admissions’ office Latino overnight program to engage current and prospective students, as well as alumni. More than 270 guests attended this networking event.

LAA scholarship Awards Dinner, Nov. 2013: the Latino Alumni Association celebrated its 32nd Annual Scholarship Awards dinner at the cathedral of our Lady of the Angels. the evening attracted more than 320 guests and generated more than $106k for scholarship support. our exceptional scholarship recipients and the following esteemed honorees were recognized: AltaMed health services, corporate honoree for Service in the Latino community, committed $25k for scholarships benefiting Latino students in the health and Medical field; Pih health, community Service honoree; Frank Alvarez ’74, current member of the Lumina foundation and former president and ceo of the hispanic Scholarship fund, as the role Model honoree; and Pamela Gonzalez ’14, psychology and elementary education major, presented with the donald p. Merrifield, S.J. Scholarship.
