Having a child changes a woman’s life in so many ways. Mothers worry about things that might not work out for their children. They feel every disappointment and every pain their child experiences. They make frequent sacrifices, of time, sleep, money, and energy. Mothers are great teachers, excellent advisors, and amazing sources of support. Under the best of circumstances, being a good mother is a very difficult job. Many mothers in today’s busy world must juggle their career, while managing their households. They sometimes feel torn as they try to care for their little ones, and focus on their careers. Even with a caring and loving extended family, a mother’s work is rarely done and can be stressful and demanding. Whether she is active duty or a military spouse, mothers in the military family often work to raise their children in an environment of constant change. Mother’s Day is Sunday May 11th. While all mothers should be celebrated for their love, dedication, and devotion, our military moms deserve special recognition for the unique sacrifices they make and the sometimes daunting challenges they face. Swimming pools are a ton of fun for you and your kids. In fact, pools are so much fun we sometimes forget to follow simple steps to stay safe in and around the water. First and foremost, children should never swim without adult supervision.

Whenever infants or toddlers are in or around water, an adult should be within arm’s reach to provide active supervision. Older, more experienced swimmers should also swim with a partner even in the pool. Remember, there is no Substitute for active

supervision. The community pools recently opened. LMH has established the following pool rules to ensure you and your family have tons of fun and stay safe while using the pools.

Adhere to Pool Rules and Swim Safely

For the past several months, LMH has featured one of our great employees. This month, we’d like to introduce you to Victor Maldonado. We doubt he needs much introduction, because he has been providing outstanding maintenance service to residents since 2006. Over the past eight years, Victor has proven he is a dedicated member of the LMH team. He is currently lending his expertise to preparing vacant homes for new residents. When asked what he likes best about his job he said, “I just love what I do!” It’s that kind of positive attitude that has gained him praise from residents and respect from his coworkers. He is a true professional, a team player and he is at your service!
