LIVING DIVERSITY,RESOLVING CONFLICTS,

BUILDING AN INCLUSIVEEUROPE

TRAINING FOR MULTIPLIERSFROM SEVEN EUROPEAN

COUNTRIES

(Seminarlanguage:D/E)09.10.2019-18.10.2019

LIVING DIVERSITY, RESOLVING CONFLICTS ANDBUILDING AN INCLUSIVE EUROPE-WHAT DOES THATMEAN FOR US?Training for multipliers from seven EuropeancountriesThis training seminar addresses itself to youth leadersand other multipliers, who already have had experiencein youth exchanges or are likely to gain such experiencein the future. It focuses on the connection of inter-cultural and international (youth-) work and the pro-motion of Active European Citizenship. By the co-operation of various partners from 7 different Europeancountries and the involvement of minority-self-organisations and organisations working with migrantsas target groups new network-structures will becreated. Those structures will help effectively to fa-cilitate young people of minority- or migration-background to participate more in international ex-change and European youth politics. Between thosediverse organisations the intercultural dialog is to bepromoted, as well as between organisations of the“old” and “new” EU-members. First steps to therealization of common Youth exchange-projects, whichfocus on citizenship competencies and Active parti-cipation in a lively democracy on European level shouldbe made. Theories of intercultural learning and prac-tical methodology for international youth work will bediscussed. The training qualifies the participants toconduct complex intercultural processes and increasetheir intercultural competencies. Participants shoulddevelop sensitivity for the specifics of interculturalprocesses, for the role they play within this and for thechallenges this kind of work demands of thempersonally.
