Rebecca Andrews visited Littlestone, Kent with her camera in hand not knowing what Littlestone was like. Andrews soon discovered an interesting influx of what the British seaside resort has. From old dishevelled bits and pieces from rope, timber, boats, pipes and buckets; adults and children spending time analysing which ice-cream to choose amongst the many flavours and colours one can enjoy to heavy noisy machinary behind the scenes of the clean cut funfair pushing the fun feel good factor. Andrews captures fly-on-wall imagery of the public making use of their holidays, the wacky and fun polka dot table cloth served three course meal and a scenic view to British folk relaxing on a sunday afternoon on their deck chairs outside their bleached weathered beach huts with various kitch trinkets and Union Jack flags.

Walking on the hot pebbles from the glorious sunshine Andrews could not help but notice the young boy wearing a rich blue hoodie covered in white stars, ironically Littlestone was the location used in the H.G Wells novel “The First men in the Moon” which Mr Bedford lands the sphere in Littlestone only to discover afterwards a young inquisitive boy hops into the sphere and disappears into Space.
