The records of a Washington trucking firm that declared bankruptcy in 1973 disclosed that it suffered about 30% of workplace crime losses. When it collapsed 260 employees lost their jobs, over $400 000 in capital investment was lost and $1.2 million in loans was defaulted. A mid-western rubber manufacturer reports that the majority of disputes between management and labour that are submitted for arbitration are directly related to workplace crime.
