You Choose – Quality vs. Quantity

Quality: For those that are more private people or who hold positions that don't require you to network your pants off, it's best for you to keep your connections to just folks you know. And use the introductions to really connect those that have benefit to your connections.

Quantity: For others, who are avid networkers and accept all invitations. Those who are also building a business and use LinkedIn as a tool for marketing, advertising, branding, etc. I also accept introduction forwards from my 800+ connections when requested. It's up to the next person to accept it or not. Most folks have a legitimate reason to connect. Just last week I connected distant cousins LOL....cracked me up. Another connection helped one guy do some real estate transactions.

To close, just remember that those with the mass number of connections (Like me) are very helpful people that want to help connect/network. So it's not a bad thing, just what you chose to do with your profile.
