A Lifestyle Story in the PressAt Lifestyle Villas, we’ve been fortunate to witness many unforgettable moments. Our guests come to Cabo to celebrate special birthdays, anniversaries, and family reunions, but probably the most moving ones are weddings!

Recently we had the honor of hosting a spectacular destination wedding at the Blue Sea villas, which has been published in the current edition of Cabo Living Magazine. Here, we would like to share with you a few excerpts from this inspiring article.

The bride, Anna Urbanik, recounted her wedding story:

“And there I was, in the middle of my dream wedding, surrounded by people I loved, overjoyed and…married! Following 14 months of planning and preparation, my destination wedding was finally a reality. With a week-long all-out celebration and guests arriving from six different countries, speaking four different languages, I knew it was going to be an experience of a lifetime, not just for my fiancé and myself, but for all our guests as well. And I was right.

Our Vision ~ When my fiancé, Armando, proposed to me three years after we met, it was the happiest moment of my life. We were celebrating his birthday at Villa Serena, a spectacular beachfront property on the Los Cabos Corridor.

At that very moment we decided that Villa Serena and the two adjoining villas that make up the Blue Sea compound would become the venue for our wedding. We were looking for an intimate and sophisticated celebration, and we knew a private villa could help us accomplish just that.

After a few years of living in the area and having met here, it was only natural to pick Los Cabos as our wedding location. Baja’s natural beauty and Los Cabos’ pres-tige as one of Mexico’s top destinations only made the decision easier.

Our vision was to keep the guest list small and the quality high. We would hire only Los Cabos’ top vendors and extend the celebration to a full week of fun. It was always difficult for me to think that my wedding day would be over in just 24 hours, so I said, “Why don’t we just turn our wedding day into our wedding week?” Making it last And that’s what we did.

The three luxurious 6,000-square-foot Blue Sea villas provided accommodation for our out-of -town guests and served as the venue for the wedding. The seven-day festivity included a welcome dinner at the elegant 12 Tribes Restaurant in the heart of Medano Beach, our bachelor and bachelorette parties, snorkeling trips, a tour on the Cabo Submarine, parasailing in the Cabo San Lucas Bay, monster zip line expedition for the more daring, and all that just for starters.

Since I am Polish and my now-husband Mexican, we also organized Polish and Mexican dinner parties at the villas, where each family would prepare their tradi-tional meals. It was very amusing, to say the least, and allowed our families to get to know each other better...”

Details add up ~ When planning a destination wedding in Los Cabos, you’ll have many options to entertain your guests. Take advantage of them. Your family and friends make a sacrifice of sorts to come to your wedding so far away from home, and they will certainly enjoy a fun Cabo vacation. Remember that there is a lot of planning that goes into it, though. Details such as transportation, activity book-ings, restaurant reservations, in-villa meals, etc. certainly add up. However, there are companies such as Lifestyle Management Services who can help you make these a breeze. Just like they did for us!

Priceless advice that can make all the difference...

My number one piece of advice for any bride who sets out organizing her wedding by herself is to go for it, but hire a coordinator for the big day. Pass on all the infor-mation to her in advance and let her take over, while you enjoy the day you’ve worked so hard to organize. It was the best decision I made, and Susana, our coor-dinator from Lifestyle Management Services, made it possible for me to have the time of my life without having to worry about a missing chair or making announce-ments or any number of unexpected problems. If you’re organizing your Cabo wedding from abroad, definitely consider a wedding planner for the entire process.

Looking back ~ Before flying off to Southern France for our honeymoon, we looked back at our week-long Cabo wedding celebration, and all we could say was, “How in the world were we able to make it all happen?!” And the answer was this: vision, time, planning, and lots of love! ”
