I feel that these are strengths, but that I need to continue to work at improving myself as a science teacher. Any time you stop on the tracks you will get ran over, so I need to continue to investigate my subject area, continue to collaborate with other science teachers to improve my instruction of science. We are in a time that information moves quickly and I feel that if I think that I’m doing fine, that I don’t need to improve, then I will fall behind.

The certified classroom teacher exhibits, in his or her performance, evidence of having a theoretical background and knowledge of the principles and methods of teaching, and a commitment to education as a profession.

self evaluations: I feel that I continue to investigate ways to incorporate technology

into my science curriculum. I am comfortable with my background knowledge of content area, and feel that I continually research and look for new content to present to my classes.

reflections:My vision for my science class is to open the walls of my classroom. I

want my students to experience the science of life around them outside of their seats. As I reflect on my classroom I feel I’m moving towards my vision, but I feel I’m still have a long way to get to my vision. I will continue to try and push down the walls of my classroom by using technology to connect my students with other experts.
