Lets Twist and Shout I dont get it, said Bill.

It is simple, responded Sue pointing at the price tag, This is how much you wouldnormally pay and this is what you will pay with your club card. What you save is the difference

    between the two.

But youre not really saving anything. You are still spending. Yes, you are spending lessthan what you would if you did not have the card, but you are still spending. In fact, I saw one adon television that was trying to twist it even further by saying that it was almost as if you weremaking money. Youre not making money nor are you saving money; you are just spendingless.

Absolutely, replied Sue with a big smile, Marketers are shameless in how they twistthe language. Josef Goebbels would be pro ud and so would Leopold II of Belgium.

Leopold of Belgium, what did he do? asked Bill.

He was upset that he inherited such a small kingdom that he decided to create a colonywith the help of Henry Morton Stanley. It became a true horrorfest for the indigenous population. He set up his colony to rape it of resources so that he could feed his ego and become even rich anestimated ten million were murdered and many millions more were displaced, brutalized, or hadtheir hands chopped off for not reaching their quotas of ivory, gold, and rubber. He basicallyenslaved a huge section of Africa out of personal greed and to feel like a big man. To this day, there is a monument in Arlon, Belgium claiming the reason he did what he did was to help thepeople of the Congo and was for the good of the Belgians he was nothing more than a massmurdering thief.

Seems like a very good assessment of the piece of shit that he was, said Bill.

It was all whitewashed. It was left out of history books. This piece of human scum wasallowed to live in a life of luxury until he died. Even after it was discovered what he was reallydoing, He increased pressure to increase production of these then valuable commodities in aneffort to get every cent he could before the colony was liberated. Even during this so called

liberation, the Belgian Government exacted all types of human rights violations. Many of theseactions are the seeds of a lot of the current problems in this area of Africa.

I see, said Bill in a very thoughtful manner.

During World War I, our leaders twisted the sinking of the Lusitania as an act of aggression by the Kaiser. In reality, I think the true initial act of aggression was all of the aid

being given to France and Great Britain. In fact, it is believed that the Lusitania was carrying warmaterial.

So, the attack was to end support to Germanys enemies from a supposedly neutralnation well, that is understandable.

I think that the main push for our entrance into the war was from a desire to protect J.P.Morgans investments in France and Great Britain. Which leads us to another twist; Germanyand Austria were forced to pay reparations which was actually again an attempt to protect J.P.Morgans investments.

    Not to mention that World War II was bl amed solely on the aggressive acts of Germany,Japan, and Italy. In actuality, Japan was fighting to modernize and compete with foreign powersthat threatened to colonize her. Germany was reacting to the atrocious reparations and repressionof the victors of War World I. Italy well, only God knows what Mussolini was thinking;

dreams of rebuilding the Roman Empire. Sue looked at Bill a bit puzzled and then said, Yes, yes, I find that I must agree with

you. Many of the colonial uprisings, problems in the Middle East and smaller wars such asKorea, Vietnam, Grenada, The Cuban Missile Crisis and so on were repercussions of majormistakes of greed, revenge, power, and many other unresolved problems resulting from bothwars, games of politics during the Cold War, and from repression under colonization. Leopoldmay have been an absolute monster but there were many more.

Like the official history of Vietnam . We claim that we entered the country because of Northern Aggression. In actuality again it was that the people of Vietnam wanted theirindependence. Who could blame them? The French were horrible masters I heard that theaverage life expectancy under the French was only twenty-seven. They were ruled and brutalizedby the Japanese with French cooperation. Two million would die from a famine that was createdso that the masters could make their money off of rice contracts. British took over the area afterthe war and promised them independence but turned around and gave the area back to theFrench hell, those p eople just snapped; just in time for our entry into the war.

We mainly got into the war because we wanted to make sure that the country wasliberated but with a government that we liked and would allow our companies to continue tomake huge profits off of the Vietnamese. We were afraid that they would vote for Ho ChiMinh ridiculous part of this was that they had already gained their independence by defeatingthe French at Dien Bien Phu. Also, our own OSS and CIA had helped Uncle Ho gain his positionand set up his government.

Twist just continues to this day. Economic collapse occurs and right away everyone witha news station finds a scapegoat with people who could not or would not pay their mortgages.Yes, I do agree that some may have tried to get away with something but many slipped and

stumbled. Many were saying that it was poor mortgages and these people were bad. In myopinion, I say that even if it was a poor mortgage, which is predatory lending. First, no onementioned a peep about the sudden spike in fuel prices cutting into peoples income. No one saida word about how electric prices almost tripled in some places. My word, we were told that theprices would go up 15 to 30% but my average bill during the summer was about $40 and nowthey aver age $120. I have cut back as far as I can.

Bill looked around the room and noticed that nothing was on. The only clock was battery powered. He said, I heard some people were actually slammed dunked.

Not one word was said about those two hitting and h itting hard around the same time. All fingers were pointed at default mortgages. I asked what caused all of those mortgages to go

    bad in the first place.

People for the most part lock on to the easiest to understand answer.

It was just finger pointin g. I thought for sure that they would say that these poor peoplewere the reason we lost Vietnam or poisoned our wells.

Just like the Jews of the middle ages and Nazi Germany. By the way, we didnt lose inVietnam, it was declared a draw.

You are so cute, millions of inhabitants dead, around sixty thousand of our servicepeople dead and absolutely nothing to show for it we lost.

What do you know? I fell for another twist.

Sue continued, Twists continue today. People are outraged by the excesses of thewealthy very much the way that indigenous people were outraged at not only the excesses of their colonial masters but also by the selling out of them by their own leaders. Here, tools likeRomney ran to their aid and said that they are the bad guys they are the job creators.

    Yes, I remember that conversation.

We are a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. We deserve to betold the truth and not to be lied to or have twists to keep us under thumb. They are ouremployees, our representatives. They need to tell us the facts and stop hiding the truth from us.

God knows, we may never learn the truth behind 9/11 or what really set 18 SaudiArabians an allied people with us to attack us not Afghanis or Iraqis. Im sure that m ost of the leaders have used the media to get the public to write them off as psycho religious fanatics. Isay that someone just doesnt wake up and say that I feel like killing thousands today.

Sue looked at Bill with true admiration, I am so proud of you. We need to find out thetruth, they need to stop lying to us; we need to take back our country, government, states, andcommunities. We need to do it now.

Do you know that kids in schools are still being told that France and England were

innocent victims in World War II that the French were just trying to help and protect inVietnam?

Shut up and kiss me you fool!
