a. 'nly children #ho are 8-years old $y .une and until Octo)er /23/ #ill $e eligi$le or enrolment2
$. A certifcate o 9ive Birth #ill $e re:uired or su$mission until Decem$er o the same school year2
c. i; 0<1-year old children #ho #ere not a$le to attend the =indergarten ummer Program 0=P1 shall $e enrolled in Grade and #ill undergo the &ight 0>1- ?ee3 @urriculum on readiness and oundational s3ills.

All school principals and school heads shall su$mit to the Division 'ce 0D'1 the ocial list o enrolment in the diCerent =indergarten programs using the enclosed re:uired orms. !he duly certifed true and correct enrolment report shall $e or#arded to the 6egional 'ce 06'1 #hich in turn shall indorse the same to the @entral 'ce 0@'1* addressed to the Bureau o &lementary &ducation* Attention. @urriculum Development Division* not later than the +ollo9ing dates o+ every year

. Kindergarten &egular Progra, 7K&P8. !his is a ten 0,1 month program provided or regular children and those #ith special needs2 the gited and those #ith disa$ilities handled $y teachers #ith permanent items. !he =6P or regular children ollo#s the standards or 8-year old children and the 4ational =indergarten @urriculum Guide 04=@G1.
 
+. Kindergarten %olunteer Progra, 7K%P8. !his is also a ten 0,1 month program #hich shall $e organied or fve 081-year old children #ho cannot $e accommodated in the =6P ollo#ing the same standards and 4=@G

Although there are learning materials such as stories and games* included in 4=@G* teachers are encouraged to add or localie the activities they $elieve can $e $est taught using local resources.

%tate to provide eua! opportunities for a!! chi!dren to avai! of accessib!e andatory and
copu!sory .indergarten education that effective!y prootes physica!7 socia!7 inte!!ectua!7
eotiona! and s.i!!s stiu!ation and va!ues foration to sufficient!y prepare the for fora!
e!eentary schoo!ing$ his Act sha!! app!y to e!eentary schoo! syste being the first stage
of copu!sory and andatory fora! education$ hus7 .indergarten wi!! now be an integra!
part of the basic education syste of the country$

(a) DepEd sha!! refer to the epartent of &ducation;
(b) BEE sha!! refer to the #ureau of &!eentary &ducation;
(c) Kindergarten education sha!! be understood in this Act to
ean one (,) year of preparatory education for chi!dren at
!east five (5) years o!d as a prereuisite for rade ; and
(d) Mother tongue refers to the !anguage first !earned
 by a chi!d$
education and for schoo! year 20,,:20,2

thereafter7 it sha!! be ade andatory and

ediu of instruction for teaching and !earning in the

(a) hen the pupi!s in the .indergarten c!assroo have
different other tongues or when soe of the spea. another
other tongue;
(b) hen the teacher does not spea. the other tongue of the
!earners;
(c) hen resources7 in !ine with the use of the other
tongue7 are not yet avai!ab!e; and
(d) hen teachers are not yet trained how to use
the 3#:3>& progra$

%&'$ 9$ Implementing %ules and %egulations. - ithin ninety (90)
days after the effectivity of this Act7 the ep&d7 in consu!tation with
the epartent of #udget and 3anageent7 sha!! prou!gate the
ru!es and regu!ations needed for the ip!eentation of this Act$
%&'$ ,0$ Separa&ility 'lause. - f any provision of this Act is he!d
inva!id or unconstitutiona!7 the sae sha!! not affect the va!idity
and effectivity of the other provisions hereof$
%&'$ ,,$ %epealing 'lause. - Pertinent provisions of a!! other
!aws7 decrees7 e@ecutive orders and ru!es and regu!ations
contrary to or inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are
hereby repea!ed or odified according!y$
%&'$ ,2$ Effectiity 'lause. - his Act sha!! ta.e effect
