CVSTATEMENT

Since I can remember I have always enjoyed being creative, therefore choosing a career in design seemed perfect. I studied interior design at university and gained a 1st class BaHons which I am extremely proud of. Since leaving university I have worked in the graphics industry being employed by two publishing houses designing logos, flyers, advertisements and magazines for companies. I have also ran my own freelance design and printing service ‘electriceel design’ this is where I have gained the majority of my experience. I have designed logos and posters for a number of customers and also branded companies and supplied a complete set of literature and advertising media, from business cards, flyers and letterheads to clothing, vehicle graphics and presentation packs. I also regularly work alongside a well established jewellers manipulating there images with branding and other effects ready for there website. I am always eager to learn new skills and the various aspects of design, in a bid to better my knowledge and keep myself current in my chosen career. As I enjoy designing I don’t see working as a job more of a hobby, and as everyday brings something new learning new skills and problem solving keeps me interested.

2009-2011Graphic Design - Diamond MediaThis was my first design based post upon leaving university, therefore I learnt a lot, from developing my people skills, both with colleagues and clients and attaining a better knowledge of design and programmes alike, to becoming aware of the benefits of been flexible and trustworthy. My main duties were to create designs for companies such as flyer designs and advertisements, along with magazine and brochure layouts.
