    Child Life Internship

    The comprehensive child life internship at The Childrens Hospital at OU Medical Center isoffered twice a year (spring and fall semesters). The internship is a 6! ho"r (#$%#6 wee&)

    The internship sched"le is as follows,

    The child life intern will serve as an integral part of the child life department. *t"dents are

    responsile for s"pervised involvement and independent planning and implementation of adevelopmentally and emotionally s"pportive psychosocial program for patients and families

    visiting The Childrens Hospital at OU Medical Center. *t"dents will participate in orientation

    and g"idance5 direction5 and eval"ation y child life specialists in order to meet personal andprogram goals and o?ectives. *t"dents typically follow the sched"le of the c"rrent rotation

    s"pervisor. *t"dents may e as&ed to participate in after ho"rs and3or wee&end child life

    services. *t"dents will e eval"ated "sing eval"ation tools ased "pon child life co"ncil

    competencies after each rotation and at the completion of the internship.
