About STEM Fuse • Founded in 2009 by Carter Tatge after he
recognized the need for increased STEM education in schools
• Partnered with award winning teachers to develop the GAME:IT curriculum
• Piloted course for two years in two different schools to ensure ease of teaching and confirm appeal to students
What is Game:IT? • Web-based game design course
• Hands-On STEM focused curriculum
• Project-based learning
• Uses GameMaker, a free open-source software
• Offers up to 16 weeks of material

• All worksheets, quizzes, tests, PowerPoints and presentations needed to teach the course

Unit 1 Snapshot - 1 week (5 class periods)

• Design an original game

• Create a marketing plan for your game
