TCH Salsa is a scheme which enables employees to acquire a brand new car every 2 or 3 years under a Salary Sacrifice arrangement with their employer.
You agree to a reduction in monthly salary for the period of the vehicle contract and subsequently your employer pays the monthly rental for the vehicle. The rental includes all of the following throughout the whole of the contract: All regular servicing and maintenance, All tyre replacements, Full breakdown cover, Road tax, Accident Management, Fixed premium, business use, insurance with up to two named drivers included.

Although you have to pay company car tax on the vehicle - as the provision of the car by the employer is classed as a ‘benefit in kind’, the tax and NI savings (which vary dependent on the car chosen) and the vehicle discounts that TCH Salsa pass on to you - far outweigh the company car tax.
Here’s how it works:• You get your quotes and choose the car you want via the TCHSalsa website – All makes and models available*• Your employer then leases the car from TCHSalsa • Your employer deducts the monthly rental for your car from your Gross (pre-tax) salary• Because it comes from Gross salary, you pay less tax and NI on the rest of your salary dependent on the type of vehicle you choose • This makes the net cost for the car less than what is deducted from your salary (the savings are shown on the quotations on the website for you) • The car is classed as a ‘benefit in kind’ by HMRC which means you have to pay ‘Company Car’ tax on it BUT:• The potential savings due to Tax (in the case of ULEV’s) NI, VAT (if applicable) and TCH Fleet discounts will offset the company car tax, meaning you will make an overall saving.*subject to eligibility and any employer restrictions
TCH Salsa enables you to acquire a brand new car every two or three years with all of the costs included in one simple package. All you have to budget for on top is the cost of your fuel!

ULEV’s offer full income tax and NI savings on the scheme -TRUE
Vehicles with Co2 emissions of 75g/km and less are usually petrol engine vehicles coupled with an electric battery, calledHybrids, OR totally electrically battery powered. These types of vehicle get the full income tax saving (20% or 40% dependenton your tax position). Here is an example showing the full income tax saving:

Non-ULEV’s are no longer competitive due to the tax restrictions – FALSE!
If you choose a vehicle with Co2 emissions above 75g/km (which still includes most cars) all that happens is that you will pay income tax on either the amount of salary sacrificed OR the Benefit in Kind value of the car (BIK). On average, this is only an increase of around £10 per month on these vehicles compared with the previous tax rules. Here is an example of the calculation for this type of vehicle:

How is it I can get cheaper monthly deals at my local dealership?
Many local dealers have very low ‘headline’ rentals in their advertising – what you need to look for is:
• A large deposit may be required (our scheme has no deposit at all – and you don’t start to pay a penny until after delivery!)• It probably doesn’t include any routine servicing and maintenance • It won’t include tyre replacements• It may not include breakdown cover for the whole contract• It probably doesn’t include fully comprehensive, fixed premium (for the whole contract), ‘business cover’ insurance – to include an additional two drivers! • It won’t include the benefit of having TCH Assist look after your car throughout the course of your contract!
All the above is included in the TCH Salsa package!

REGISTER FIRST TIME EMPLOYEE LOGIN
Do I have to be the main driver of the car?
No. As long as your employer is in agreement, you do not have to be the main driver. You can order a vehicle for another family member however the monthly rentals have to come from your salary in order to meet the rules of the scheme.
A few common questions...
What happens if I choose to leave my Employer during the contract?
You must consider carefully whether you are going to be with your employer for the time you will have your car because they have introduced this scheme as a valuable benefit for you and as a way of retaining your valuable services. Therefore, like any retail finance arrangement, there would be an early termination fee to be paid should you leave which is based on how far the vehicle is in to the contract period. The charge is highest early in the contract and lowest towards the end of contract. If you are away from work on a temporary basis and on lower earnings due to long term sickness or maternity/paternity/adoption leave then your monthly rentals are paid for and you get continued use of the car as normal (up to a maximumof 12 months).
Why do I have to pay Company Car tax on the car if I am paying for it out of my salary?
HMRC classes this scheme as the provision of a ‘benefit in kind’ which effectively means the car is treated in the same way as a ‘Company Car’. You therefore are subject to company car tax however for the vast majority of people, the Tax and NI savings that are made (Dependent on whether the vehicle is a ULEV or not with a Co2 of 75g/km or less) will outweigh the company car tax making it an attractive option and if you choose a cleaner, low Co2 vehicle, the company car tax is minimised meaning the tax and NI savings are greater!
How quickly will my car be delivered?
Most vehicles are factory built and may take anywhere from 6 to 16 weeks (dependent on the make and model) however if you require a vehicle quickly and are prepared to be flexible, we can ask our network of dealers to give us a list of cars that are either in stock or due to be built which may arrive quicker than a factory built order. We have been able to supply some vehicles within a week or two of ordering! Is it possible to purchase the car at the end of the contract?
Yes, this is possible and we can give you a ‘price to buy’ towards the end of the contract however most people simply place a new order a few months before the end of contract and we deliver the new car on the last day of the current contract and make a ‘key for key’ swap.
