Our Shop Small, Buy Local annual event showcases ourdiverse business community to the local area with variedopportunities to inform, engage, network and sell. Brandedwith our BrunscoHasIt.com website and app to strengthenthe Brunsco imprint, this annual expo provides an arena forour members to share their products and services all whileincreasing exposure for Brunswick County as a place to liveand thrive.

This event provides a forum for our youth to create, marketand sell their business vision while working on valuable softskills. Youth ages 7 - 18 are invited to apply to participate inthis annual event designed to foster their entrepreneurialspirit, practice business strategies, professional dexterityand help them develop necessary communication andcustomer service skills which will serve them well in theirpersonal and professional futures.

A unique community Spring event to engage tourists andlocals with mechanical rides for all ages, a wide variety ofentertainment, multiple fair food options, craft beers andother beverages. Members can gain community visibilitywith a booth space or sponsor the event to boost exposurethrough marketing and promotion of the event through avariety of advertising mediums.

Our Annual Business Awards Gala to honor ChamberMember businesses who have demonstrated exemplarysuccess, growth & community commitment. Businessesare invited to self-nominate in the award category orcategories of their choice with finalists receiving a free30-second professional marketing video.

EVENTS andPROGRAMS

Self-guided online training & professional advancementresource that provides business learning & developmentwith an outreach beyond Chamber Membership.

Chamber Member businesses come together in a funand friendly outdoor competition. Challenges vary andprovide all ages, from 5 and up, the ability to compete.Businesses are encouraged to tap employees, clients,friends and family to build their teams of six. Offeringgreat team building, networking & business exposure,this event provides an opportunity to boost businessmorale and socialize among fellow member businesses.

The committee prepares two interactive workshops peryear to provide guidance, support, resources, education,professional and personal development for women in ourcommunity. Workshops are a friendly and safe forum forwomen to engage freely in discussion of challenges andsuccesses in the workplace or in their personal lives. Thechosen topics are relevant to issues women face in thework place and their personal lives.

Our monthly engagement creating a community of ourmembership in a relaxed and open forum. Opportunities tostay up to date on Chamber happenings, hear membersuccess stories and meet new members.

Ambassadors maintain high visibility in the community asChamber representatives engaging our Chamber Memberbusinesses & consistently networking with the communityat large via member visits and social media. Connectingwith new and current members offers our Ambassadors anopportunity to develop relationships which can lead to newbusiness. Ambassadors meet once a month to share theirexperiences with the member businesses.

Providing useful information on a variety of topics, B.O.S.S.seminars will be scheduled throughout the year as a directresult of what our Membership is asking to know and learn.In partnership with the Business Development Committeeand Brunswick Community College Small Business Center,the seminars will host experts in a variety of fields to sharepertinent information or provide simple solutions to variouschallenges our members face in different areas of business.

WORKSHOPS

An exclusive social shopping event with approximately 30vendors showcasing their products and services geared towomen. Tickets to this event include a glass of wine, foodand a raffle ticket for one of our high value raffle baskets.

Our annual awards luncheon recognizes the women ofinfluence in our community and their roles in supportingand mentoring women in the business community.
