Dear applicant,

If you opened this package, congratulations! A thousand step journey indeed starts with the first step and this is your first step (though it isn’t a thousand step journey) towards being the change you want to see in this amazing organization. Being LCP for over 6 months now has brought me to a realization that it is definitely one of the most challenging and difficult moments in my life. Yet, these moments brought me to places within my mind and heart where I would never had the guts to explore before. These experiences showed to me my real self, and you can’t deny, knowing yourself is the best gift ever. I started off with the aspiration to bring many improvements to this organization, sometimes I succeeded and sometimes I failed, worst still, sometimes I just did not know what to do. But every night before I go to bed, I reflect upon the impact AIESEC Stockholm has on the society we live in and a huge blinking neon signboard in my head says, “It was worth it” and I sleep with a true sense of satisfaction.

Leading such a vibrant organization as AIESEC will not be easy (in fact, it will be very difficult), but I assure you, it will be worth every moment of it. Maybe you are thinking of how brave you are to be considering applying. Still, you are here, reading these words. Take the next step and you will see how much you can get out of this experience. The opportunity to lead the entire organization which activates youth leadership is right in front of you. This is really the chance of a lifetime, so I suggest you to take the action and apply for being the leader of one of the best student organization in the world.

The election for LCP will take place on the 28th of February 2014.

During the election candidates are expected to: Present themselves as a candidate and why you are applying (max 5 minutes).

Present your vision and strategy for the local committee (max 5 minutes).

Take part in a 45 minute Q&A session from the members and invited alumni/externals together with the other running candidates.

Deliver a closing speech (max. 2 minutes)
