personal statement

i’m currently a 4th year landscape architecture student at chulalongkorn university, bkk(thailand). toward my 4 years here i have learn a lot of things. first time manag-ment, each semester we usually have 2 or 3 projects. some how it’s mean we have only a few time to completed it. be-side of the project i have to attend in several clsses. so you must learn to control you time. secound the universe are not around you!! in each class teacher will assign a group project and i have learn that you have to be a good listner because i each group project if you have a argument with you teammate it’s mean you project will col-lapse in front of your team. some time you have to be a leader but some time you have to be a good listner. so i definitely work as a team. third environment lover. i admit that before i have been studing landscape architecture, i don’t even care how the world ruined by humanbeing but some how after all this year i have been through i have learn that you have to give it back more than you take to the mother of earth. last thing i have learn is to overcome my weakness because no one gonna de-molish you weakness better than your self. knowing and admit your weakness is not for the weak but it for the courage one.

project statement

this project is a memorial park of phanthai norasing. phanthai norasing is named for 3 things; honesty, gratefulness, and accuracy. we want to remind people how greatest phan-thai norasing is therefore this 3 goodness in phanthai norasing are the main concept of this memorial park. which sparate in to 3 main concept; 1. honesty, we use 3 different materi-als to show its nature or in the other hand its call tectonic. 2. gratefulness, we reserve man-grove forest to show some respect to the na-ture. 3. accuracy, we make order of accessibil-ity of zoning from public space to private space more difficult because we want to keep order of accessibility related to accracy. you can’t access in to private space from public space, you have to access it in the order we made.

project statement

This site is located under Sirat Expressway from Rama 4 Road to Phetburi Road. This site has a variety of communities and commercial buildings and also has parking and garage business such as tuk-tuk and taxi. Unfortunately after highway construction, road separates community into many districts which lack of communication and activity between those districts. So i want to provide multi-purposed space for people in this community.

After I analysed the site, the main problem is how we connect them together. So that, this skywalk came up.(the main inten-tion is to mock the scaffolds that are used in highway con-struction.) this skywalk not only disintegrates the road to provide connection but also protects homeless people. How it works is installing black metal sieve into structure under skywalk aside to protect people in community from homeless but also make enclosed spaces to be boundary in this project. Apart from that, this skywalk can be a bicycle trail, running track, and night market. We provide facilities over the sky-walk such as lighting to provide light in the sport field under the highway and light over the skywalk. Bicycle holder are provided in every ramp and stairway from lower level.Struc-tures are made of steel covered with anti corrosive color. They are jointed withblack metal and connected with bolt.

project statement

this site was a landfill. because of authority are lacking knowledge this landfill are sub-standard. there are not a proper liner between a landfill and ground level. Although liners and leachate collection systems minimize leakage however its still leaking. base on Department of Groundwater Resources, the underground water level are almost rises through under-ground leachate level. we can assume that the leachate (consist of Heavy metal) are contam-inate through the rayong river which rayong population are consuming it. therefore the leachate leaking problem are the first prob-lem that has to be considering in this project.

the concept of this park are half of natu-ral water treatment system learning center. there are 2 methods of water treatment which are purity natural. the materal used are lo-cal, lower price, and also eco friendly. after treatment the water are using for watering lawn, plants and water systems with in the site. beside of the water treatment system learn-ing center, in this park still have a garbage bank. the garbage bank are encourage people to bring a garbage to this site and exchange it for the price. after that we catagorised the garbage in to sparate container to recycle or reuse it with in the site. we encourage people to realize how important of the garbage.
