The Sabine plant site is a flagship in our company, with high standards and profitability. Responsibilities include:Provide technical stewardship for furnace/heater, fixed equipment, vessels, piping, troubleshooting, evaluation of mechanical failures, and technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades which target reliability, Uptime and cost;Manage and lead both strategic long-term programs/projects to improve equipment reliability, mechanical integrity, and safety;Analyze fixed equipment operating problems, provide operating and maintenance support, and assist with the checkout and commissioning of new machinery equipment; Support unit maintenance personnel during equipment overhauls, unscheduled outages, and turnaround.Represent DuPont interests during equipment overhaul and monitor repair progress in Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) or 3rd party repair shops; Work with plant personnel in basic data, scope development, front end loading and with capital project teams to generate and/or review equipment specifications for business fixed equipment applications; (e.g. $10,000 - $500,000)Proactively engage other DuPont Engineering technical disciplines (e.g., Materials, Engineering Mechanics, Process, and Instrumentation & Electrical Consultants), plant and business personnel, suppliers and contractors to improve fixed equipment reliability and performance by use of most appropriate technologies for competitive advantage; Develop engineering solutions for chronic and sporadic equipment reliability problems and work with technical, production and maintenance to implement solutions. This would include helping build and upgrade maintenance procedures and auditing to ensure improvements are sustained.Provide engineering in areas of vibration analysis, lubrication, oil analysis and corrosion detection.Provide leadership to organization on the latest Maintenance technology and Best Practices.

* A BS in Mechanical Engineering * 8 to 10 years of experience REQUIRED!   **MUST NOT HAVE MORE THAN 10 YEARES EXP*** Must have experience as a maintenance engineer, equipment engineer, and/or reliability engineer in the chemical process or related industries. * Ability to work with others involved in a variety of functions including operators, mechanics, and other engineers of various disciplines, management, and other leaders to impact in a positive way the plant performance parameters.* Experience with primary focus on fixed equipment (vessels and piping) and heater/furnace and secondary focus on rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes, centrifugal compressors, couplings, etc.).* Experience working in a high hazard process and with PSM guide-lined systems including preparation of process change documentation, PHA’s and procedures.* Strong team player with ability to lead and motivate others through influence* Computer and PC literate - Working knowledge of using E-mail, the Internet, and Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).* Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to sell integrated engineering solutions.* Demonstrated ability to lead Root Cause Failure Analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions from it.* Demonstrated ability to select predictive maintenance technologies for fixed equipment.* General knowledge of industry standards and other applicable codes relating to mechanical systems, fixed equipment, heater/furnace, e.g. API, ASME Codes. * Actual experience in design/maintenance of miscellaneous fixed equipment and associated failure analysis. 

PRODUCTION ENGINEER (Houston TX)Relo: Yes

POSITION SUMMARY:  This position provides technical engineering support to daily

production operations.  This position is cross functional covering technical engineering support of plant operations and coordinating the transition/scale-up of newly developed products into plant production.  This position acts as backup supervisor to the plant during the Operations Manager’s absence and participates in Process Safety Management (PSM) activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Provides technical engineering support to assist with the daily production operations of the our clients’ facility. Gathers data and monitors daily performance of batch and continuous chemical manufacturing processes using Statistical Process Control tools as necessary to determine degree of control of process variables.Analyzes data to troubleshoot problems with the chemical manufacturing processes.Collects, records, and reports on production data by campaign including post production run evaluations and monthly operating reports.   Helps prepare daily action plans through direction and team planning with the Operations Manager.Updates operating manuals, process changes, and project status reports as required.Troubleshoots problems with batch and continuous chemical manufacturing processes.  Leads production problem solving teams as required.Plans and conducts plant trials for the purpose of obtaining information useful for increasing production rates and/or improving quality and yield.Evaluates production equipment and processes to identify ways to optimize performance while ensuring compliance with safety and environment regulations.Educates and coaches operations personnel and new employees in operating techniques to improve their understanding of the process.Coordinates the transition/scale-up of new development projects into plant production. Assists with translating lab and pilot-scale run data into process operating procedures.
