Governor’s Message Hello Brothers, I am not trying to rush anything along but Spring is right around the corner. For the members that love Winter, you may have to take a trip to find it. I spent the weekend servicing my lawnmower and other small pieces of equipment and then tried them out on the wild onion that were about 8 inches tall. I can imagine that the bugs will be bad this year due to the lack of Winter. With the grass getting ready to go crazy, things at the Lodge are getting crazy too. The calendar is filling up quick. There are plenty of activities coming up to keep everyone occupied. Check the calendar and the bulletin board to see what is going on. Membership continues to do well. We are down a little bit but we can overcome that. Talk to your friends and neighbors and let them know what Moose is about. We also have a couple of positions available if anyone is interested in getting more involved. The pay isn’t much but it can be a lot of fun. Keep the youth at Mooseheart and the seniors at Moosehaven in your thoughts and prayers. I am really looking forward to our trip to Mooseheart in May. I think that will be an eye-opening experience as to what Moose does for others. See you at the lodge, Kenny

The next meeting of ODML 148 will be

hosted by the Callao Moose Lodge on Saturday, March 21.

ODML 148 has waived the application fee until April

30, 2020. You can become a Moose Legionnaire for only $17.00.

Lodge Elections for 2020/2021 (Per LOOM General Laws, Chapter 33, Sec. 33.3, rev. 8/1/2019, pg. 51) Any member desiring to run for an elective office in the Lodge should submit his name to the Nominating Committee at least one week prior to the general membership meeting on March 17, 2020. The names of all members nominated to run for office will be announced at the general membership meeting on March 17, 2020. Lodge Elections will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. If you are considering running for office, please review the General Laws as to the duties of that office, and remember you must be CLT certified prior to or within 60 days of taking office.

for which the General Governor’s Office has provided a dispensation. The use of all cannabis products is absolutely prohibited at any time in the social quarters, lodge home, or on lodge property.

Reminders to Members & Guests

Just a friendly reminder that when you come into the Lodge, you must show your Moose Card before making

any purchase.

For our Moose Guests, you will need to sign them in the

book and they can only be signed in twice before they have to join.

Guests cannot play or purchase anything while they are

in the Lodge. Once the member leaves, the guest has

to leave as well. Also, please remember, if you are a member not in

good standing (Dues Expired), you are not eligible to be

a guest.

Suggestions

If you have any suggestions or ideas to better the

lodge, please pass them along to any of the Board of

Officers or Bartenders. We are always looking to try

new ideas.

Joyce’s Casual Dinner Special On Thursday Nights… The first week she did a Hot Dog Bar with all the fixins, sides & dessert. Last week she made Bean Soup, homemade rolls & dessert. This week she is welcoming Guest Chef Hobson and his Spaghetti with garlic bread.
