Spectators In Youth Baseball ~Must realize that to win is not the prime objective in Youth Baseball.
~Must Realize that the youngsters in the game are children and they make an er-ror or a bad play, they feel worse than anybody. Make cheering positive.
~Must realize that the umpire is closest to the play and that he calls them as he sees them,
~Should learn the rules and regulations of the game so that they can fully enjoy the games.
~Should acquaint themselves with the philosophy of Lake Shore Youth Baseball to appreciate the purpose and aims of the program.
~Who are critical of some phases of the program should either volunteer their services or talk with the proper authorizes and officials and let them know their
views.
~If you are a parent as well as a spectator remember that what your child does on the field performance wise, is no reflection upon you. You shouldn’t feel dis-
tressed if the child plays well the parent should not take credit although there is no doubt that there will be feelings of great pride.
~Spectators must realize that they are an integral part of the game and with their enthusiasm or apathy can add or detract from the spirit of the game.

Lake Shore Youth Baseball Mission Statement The purpose of Lake Shore Baseball’s program is to provide youth sports for the children of the Pasadena Peninsula with a quality in-structional athletic program that promotes teamwork, builds self-esteem and increases the knowledge of baseball in a safe, non-threatening environment. The Lake Shore Youth Baseball program, using competitive Little League baseball rules, teaches skills, mental and physical develop-ment, a respect for the rules of the game, and basic ideals of sports-manship and fair play. We are committed to providing the best edu-cational sports experience possible. It is our fundamental belief that every child with a desire to play baseball be afforded that Oppor-tunity. Lake Shore Baseball will work toward respect, cooperation, commit-ment and teamwork. It is these four life building blocks that will en-able our young athletes to grow into respectable adults. It is our mission to raise the quality of family, citizenship, and sports in this community by working with our most valuable asset we have
today, our youth.
