System OverviewThedesignoftheKX-TDA100andKX-TDA200allowsyoutoexpandyoursystemasyourneedsgrowbysimplyplugginginadditionalcardsandaddingtelephones.Alloftheexpansioncardslotsareuniversal,sothatanycardcanbepluggedintoanyuniversalslot,allowingmaximumuseofwhat’savailablewithinthecabinet.What’sevenbetteristheTDAexpansioncardsoperateonboth theKX-TDA100andKX-TDA200systems.ThatmeansifyououtgrowtheKX-TDA100system,youcanunplugtheexpansioncardsfromthatsystemandplugthemdirectlyintotheKX-TDA200withouthavingtobuyawholenewsystem.
IntermsofmaximumsystemcapacitiestheKX-TDA100canofferupto96portsandtheKX-TDA200canofferupto192portswith128wirelesstelephones.
AllofthePanasonicKX-T7000,7200,7300,7400,7600and7700proprietarytelephoneseriesworkwiththeKX-TDA100andKX-TDA200systems,soifyoualreadyownaPanasonicsystemwithoneofthesephoneseriesitwillbeinexpensivetoupgradetotheKX-TDAsystem.And,whileyouareupgrading,don’tforgetthattheKX-TDA100andKX-TDA200canalsobeeasilyupgradedtoourmulti-cellwirelesstelephonessoit’seasytokeepontopofthingsinabusyworkingenvironment.

CallerIDdisplaystheincomingcaller’sphonenumber,ornameandnumber(ifprovidedbythelocalphonecompany),whenusedwithaPanasonicsystemdisplayphone.Callsthatareansweredornotansweredthataredirectedtoagrouporanindividualextensioncanbelogged,andthetotalcallsthatcanbeloggedisassignablethroughsystemprogrammingonaperextensionbasis.Loggedcallscanbecalledbackbygoingoff-hookwhileviewingtheINFOscreenandpushingtheredialkey.Therearealsoupto1000programmableentriesofnameandnumberforCallerIDservicethatcanbeadministeredbyeithertheuserorthesystemprogrammer.CallerIDinformationcanbemodified.Generally,whenacallcomesupontheCallerIDscreenitislistedwiththeareacode.However,whenyouwanttoredialthatnumberyoumaynotneedtodialtheareacodeandthereforewouldwanttostripofftheareacodefromtheCallerIDlog.Youcanprogrampersonalbinsfortheloggedinformationofeachcallerandthensetpreferencesforhowyouwouldliketocallthatpersonback.Forexample,someonemayalwayscallyoufromtheircellphone,butpreferthatyoureturntheircallontheirhomephone.WhentheCallerIDinformationisloggedforthatpersonyoucandirectittodialtheirhomenumbereverytimeitidentifiestheircellphonenumber.
Call ForwardingTherearefourtypesofcallforwarding–allcalls,busy,noanswerandbusy/noanswer.Withthesefouroptionsyourcallscanbeforwardedwheneverandhoweveryoulike.And,allfouroptionscanbeestablishedbydialingacodeorprogrammingafeaturekeytoforwardyourcallstoaspecificdestination.Youcanalsoforwardgroupcalls,aswellas,internalandexternalcallsthatcanbeforwardedtoaninternalextensionoranexternaltelephonenumber.Eachcallcanbeforwardeduptofourtimes.
Incomingintercomandtransferredcallstoyourextensioncaneasilybeforwardedtoyououtsidetheoffice.Youcannowforwardyourcallstoyourcellphone,another locationorevenyourhome.Callscanreachyoualmostanywhereintheworld,24hoursaday,7daysaweek.Anothergreatfeatureis“follow-me”programming,whichallowsyoutoremotelysetCallForwardingfromanotherphonewithinyourorganization,socallstoyourextensionwillreachyouwhileyouroam.
Universal Call DistributionWithUniversalCallDistribution incomingcallsareevenlydistributedtooperatorsoragentsloggedintoaspecificUCDgroup,suchasrequiredbyatraveloffice,customerservicecenter,etc.Fourdifferentoutgoingmessagescanberecordedandplayedbackinacycle,andaseparateextensioncanbeassignedforoverflowcalls.MembersofaUCDgroupalsohavethecapabilitytotemporarilyremovethemselvesfromthegroup.Thisallowsmemberstogotolunchorfinishpaperworkbeforetakinganothercall.Theycanthenreturntothegroupwhentheyarereadytoanswercalls.
Network and Central Office Connection OptionsTheKX-TDA100and theKX-TDA200bothhaveseveraloptionsforconnectingthesystemstothelocalcentralofficeortonetworksystems,allowingyoutodesignthesystemtofityouspecificrequirements.
Voice Over (VoIP) TheKX-TDA100andKX-TDA200systemscanalsoutilizeVoIPasanetworkingsolution,whichisdescribedinmoredetailonthenextpage.ThemultipleoptionsavailableintheKX-TDAIPPBXsystemmakeiteasytodesignacost-effectivesolutionforyoubusiness.
ISDN Primary Rate Interface (PRI) with QSIGForamoreadvanceddigital connectionwithadditionalfeatures for basic inbound and outbound calling andadvancednetworkingapplicationsweofferourISDNPRIsolution.SimilartotheT1,theISDNPRIcardKX-TDA0290takes up only one card slot and provides 23 voiceconnections and 1 data connection over a pair ofwires. ISDN supports QSIG a high level protocol forsystem-to-system communication, allowing them tooperateasiftheywereonecohesivesystem.
T1 ServiceDependingon the telephonecompany’s local ratesandcomplexityofyourrequirements,T1digitalservicemaybethe answer. T1 provides 24 connections between yourlocationandthelocalcentralofficeoverapairofwiresforsimple inboundandoutboundcalling.OurKX-TDA0187T1cardrequiresonesystemcardslot,leavingmorespaceforothersystemcards.
