Reading, writing, and studying software for struggling readers

Kurzweil 3000 is an integrated reading, writing, and study skill support software that enables struggling readers in grades 3 and above to learn from the same content as their peers.

Many students have difficulty reading for a variety of reasons. Their inability to read fluently at grade level means they are unable to learn from class and curriculum content. For these students, Kurzweil 3000 can be life changing.

Kurzweil 3000 provides multisensory access to virtually any text or curriculum, including print, electronic, and web-based material—so students learn from grade appropriate content, develop valuable study skills, and become independent learners.

Unlike other programs that work only with preformatted material, Kurzweil 3000 allows teachers and students the freedom to work with content from any publisher across content areas.

In addition, Kurzweil 3000 supports the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), enabling multiple means for students of all abilities to engage with digital text. Moreover, Kurzweil 3000 is used at all tier levels within Response to Intervention (RtI) programs to prevent students’ academic performance from slipping.

Kurzweil 3000 Delivery Options

Standalone - deal for single users.

Network - Install anywhere within the network and use up to the purchased number of licenses concurrently.

Web Licensing - software licenses are managed via web services. In addition, it allows students and teachers to install Kurzweil 3000 on any computer - school, home, library, or other - and access a school license. (English version only)

USB Flash Drive - Take Kurzweil 3000 with you. Portable and convenient, the USB flash drive contains Kurzweil 3000 for Windows and 2.6GB of available storage with no installation.

Localisation by Sensotec

Kurzweil 3000 is currently available in English, French and Dutch and can be deployed as a standalone, USB flash drive, network of web-license* version. A German edition is under deve-lopment, to be released at the end of Q1 2013.

Kurzweil 3000 is developed by Kurzweil Educational Systems and localized (translated and adapted to the local situation) by Sensotec.

Additionally to the existing high quality English and Spanish voices, you can complete K3000 for Windows with a set of up to 22 languages to be used for reading texts in other languages.
