Customs supervision in recent years within the European Union has changed a great deal. Strict vertical supervision is giving way to a horizontal form of supervision, in which customs is placing more and more responsibilities with the business world. This makes it even more important to establish good processes that are constantly monitored and improved.

The Customs, Controlling & Projects team was established by Kuehne + Nagel’s management for this purpose. It directly supports our operational customs team in the field, and our key accounts. Over the years, the team has not only established good relationships with customs, tax administration, Chamber of Commerce, Fenex and EVO, but also with companies that provide the necessary transportation services for your goods, such as dockers and container terminals (ECT, APMT and RWG).

Customs supervision in recent years within the European Union has changed a great deal.
