Kross bicycles collection for 2013 is a continuation of our brand development in line with the motto: Two wheels One passion. We can proudly say that all our staff are passionate about development of Kross bicycles. And it’s the combination of real passion for bikes and truly hard work of our whole team that helped us design this new 2013 collection. The collection features some new additions including new lines of bikes as well as truly outstanding new bike models, all presented in this catalogue. In response to growing market demand, we’ve introduced a brand new range of road bicycles to our collection. And to prepare even more for the future, we’ve also enhanced the existing range of increas-ingly popular 29ers with some brand new bike models, adding to a total of seven bikes in the 29’’ range. To expand our collection further and make it widely available on the very competitive market of full suspension bikes, we’ve also developed new models that utilize our unique Revo Virtual Suspension system. And not to forget about classic-style bicycles, the 2013 collection also features Urban, a brand new range of city bikes. All existing lines of Kross bikes have received further improvements with our attention paid to the smallest details to ensure we offer our customers exceptionally wide and diverse collection of good quality bicycles.

Unsere neue Kollektion für das Jahr 2013, das ist die Entwicklung Marke Kross begleitend mit dem Slogan „zwei Räder – eine Leidenschaft“ Die Entwicklung aller Kross Fahrräder ist unsere gemein-same Leidenschaft, die Wirklichkeit geworden ist. Dank Ihr und der harten Arbeit des gesamten Teams, haben wir 2013 ein Angebot geschaffen mit neuen Modelereihen entwickelte Modellen die hier im Katalog zu sehen sind. Ausgehend von den Marktbedürfnissen, bieten wir jetzt auch Rennräder in unserem Angebot an. Mit dem Blick in die Zukunft gerichtet, erweitern wir unser Angebot, um die immer beliebter werdenden 29“ die wir mit sieben Modellen.Weiterhin vergrößern wir unser Angebot an vollgefederten Fahrrädern, hergestellt auf der Basis un-serer einzigartigen Revo Virtual Suspension, um eine breitere Auswahl und Verfügbarkeit auf dem stark konkurrierendem Markt anbieten zu können. Zu dem sollten die klassischen Zweiräder nicht vergessen werden. Eine neue Art von Fahrrad ist entstanden – Urban. Zu dem wurde das übrige Sorti-ment erneut bis ins kleineste Detail Überarbeitet damit unsere Marke weiterhin einen sehr breites Angebot für unsere Kunden bietet.

Carbon SL - our top model for mountain biking made from Carbon SL. Its unique characteristic is the arranment of carbon fibers in a strictly defined manner so that the whole construction is exceptionally rigid atthe sides while at the same time being absorbent to vibrations. Such a solution allows a maximum shift of thdriving force to the rear wheel, while at the same time retaining the necessary suppressing properties.

Revo Virtual Suspension - thanks to the meticulously chosen inclining lengths and angles of the links it works independently from the drive system (derailleur), as well as possessing optimal anti-compression. As a result, the suspension does not sink when we are peddling and at the same time reacts to even the smallest roughness in terrain.

Disc brakes - guarantee a large brake force and good modulation even in the most severe weather conditions, they also last for much longer than traditional brakes.

T-head tube - a conical frame-head with a changeable diameter from 1 1/8” at the top to 1.5” at the bottom. A larger diameter at the bottom gives increased durability as well as stiffness that gives greater precision when steering.

Mech shaping - the mechanical forming of tube profiles. Precise shaping increases stress resistance.

Full mudguards - long mudguards that guarantee complete protection against water and mud.

Sit upright - a set of elements, such as the geometrics of the frame and regulated cantilevers, which allow a comfortable and upright cycling position.

Silicon cables - cables externally coated with silicon gel guaranteeing efficient gear changes in every conditions.

Direct mount - technology which means that additional elements required to assemble the brake become obso-lete. This has a positive influence on the force, precision of braking and mass. An additional benefit that comes directly from the assembly is a better conduction of heat, thanks to which effectiveness does not decline during long braking.

Powder coating - painting based on placing electrified powder paint molecules onto aluminum, which requires heat treatment. After parching the varnish surface creates a perfectly smooth coat, which is every resistant to mechanical damage.

Kid series - bicycles for kids; a solid construction guarantees safety and the children-oriented design is adapted to suit the tastes of the youngest among us.

Trekking series - trekking bicycles ideal for short trips around town as well as longer expeditions into the unknown. The geometry means that even longer trips are not painful, and the solid and tested components guarantee infallibility on the road.

Cross series - bicycles that possess both sport and trekking characteristics. Geared toward fast and comfortable cycling on grit and asphalt roads. Thanks to the wheel diameter (28’’) and the removal of superfluous tools, cycling for many miles on this bike is easy and much more comfortable than on a traditional mountain bike.

Comfort series - bicycles designed for the most comfortable movement on hard roads. A specially shaped frame makes getting on and off easier and the geometry and strictly selected components create a whole which perfectly fulfills its task on a Sunday cycle ride as well as for cycling all day around town.

City series - bicycles created for comfortable movement around town. The construction of the frame makes getting on an off very comfortable and the appropriate geometry and regulated components guarantee an upright position. A brave, but well thought out, design gives us a feeling of originality and meticulously chosen components guarantee reliability.

RHS System - we created a system of exchangeable dropouts in order to protect our frames as much as possible. In case of damage they can be easily and quickly exchanged. Screws or a special nut are used for the dropout in order to minimize frame damage.

Smooth welding - a precision based technique to even out the welding which raises the aesthetic qualities of the structure without having a negative effect on durability.

Hydro-F Tube - a method used to shape tubes by pressurized liquid injection. The technology primarily creates a lighter structure characterized by higher durability and precise finishing.

Multilayer painting - results in higher surface resistance to mechanical damage as well as certain atmospheric conditions. Thanks to this process we can enjoy the aesthetic appearance of the bicycle for many years.

Carbon - frames made using his technology are monolithic carbon fiber constructions placed alongside each other. A classical forming of the tubes, in conjunction with their large diameters, means that they are very light and highly durable.

Aluminum Super Lite - thanks to heat treatment this frame is characterized by being very stiff and resistant to stress while at the same time being extremely light. In order to be more effective it is additionally triple butted in areas that are placed under least stress, and reinforced at critical points.

Aluminum Lite - this is a slightly better version of the aluminum 6061 alloy and constitutes a great compromise between greater stiffness and low mass. It is very resistant to internal conditions, breakages and impact. Thanks to the butting of all the frame tubes, we were able to retain toughness of the construction while at the same time reducing mass.

Comfort Sit - an amortized seat post in conjunction with an anatomically profiled seat guarantees an incomparably high comfort when cycling.

Aluminum performance - the Aluminum Performance 6061 alloy means that the frame is highly stiff and resistant to breakages while retaining the light mass typical for aluminum.

Hi-Strength Carry Rack - a rear carry rack with a durable construction allows the safe carriage of baggage even when it is very heavy.

Press Fit Bottom Bracket - The bearings which are stowed inside increase peddling efficiency, decrease wear on the bearing and create a better transfer of the driving force onto the wheel.

Pocket Bike - Designed to fold into a compact form, facilitating transport and storage.

Power Drive - Electric bicycle, also known as an e-bike - a bicycle with an electric motor used to power the vehicle.

Active series - designed for mountain biking enthusiasts. User opinions collected over the years have allowed us to refine the frame geometry to suit recreational use. The elongated length of the rear wheel axis from the bottom bracket, a lower bottom bracket center, minimally elongated frame head, as well as shortened top tube have significantly influenced bike steering, which is definitely more stable this year. And don’t be put off by the ‘entry level‘ label – all bikes in the range come with very high quality components and have the same frame geometry as the advanced Race Pro range.

Sport Series is for all riders who take cycling very seriously and want to have a good reliable bike with high class components. Although the range has not been designed with professional bike racers in mind, the bikes are suitable for occasional rides in marathons and other bike racing competitions. With frame geometry similar to the Race Series, these bikes are slightly heavier but they come at much lower price.

Sit upright - Das verbauen von Bauteilen wie ein Fahrradrahmen mit der richtigen Geometrie oderverstellbare Vorbauten ermöglichen ein bequemes Fahren bei einer aufrechten Fahrhaltung.

Silicon cables - Schalthüllen die eine innenliegende Silikonschicht haben garantieren einen perfekten Gangwech-sel bei jeder Bedingung.

Direct mount - Dank dieser Technologie kann auf überflüssige zusätzliche Adapter verzichtet werden bei der Montage von Scheibenbremsen, womit sich dadurch die Bremskraft erhöht und das Gewicht reduziert wird. Dieser zuzüglichen Rahmenkonstruktion verdanken wir eine unmittelbare Montage, welche die erzeugte Wärme besser abträgt während langen Bremsvorgängen. Zuzügliche bleibt die Bremskraft konstant.

Powder coating - Ist das Lackieren und der Verwendung von elektrisch aufgeladenen Pulver Farbpartikeln die wärmebehandelt sind auf das Aluminium. Nach der Austrocknung auf dem Rahmen generiert der Lack eine ideale Oberfläche die außerordendliche Widerstandesfähig ist gegen äußere Einflüsse.

Kid series - Sind Kinderfahrräder. Ihre solide Konstruktion gewährleistet Sicherheit und das Kindgerechte Design ist für den Geschmack unserer Jüngsten ausgelegt.

Trekking series - Trekking Räder sind der ideale Partner sowohl für einen kurzen Trip in die Stadt wie auch für lange Touren in das bis jetzt noch unbekannte. Die Geometrie ist so ausgelegt das selbst die längsten Touren für uns keine Schmerzhaften sein werden. Die solide Ausstattung und die richtigen Auswahl der Komponenten garantiert uns Zuverlässigkeit auf dem Fahrradweg.

Cross series - Dieses Fahrrad ist eine Verbindung zwischen Sport und Trekkingrad. Sie sind für un-befestigte Fahrradwege , Waldwege und auch alles was asphaltiert ist ausgelegt. Dank des großen Durchmessers der 28“ Laufräder, und der Verwendung der richtigen Bauteile, fährt sich das Fahrrad jeden Kilometer den es unterwegs ist unglaublich leicht und deutliche leichter wie auf jedem MTB.

Comfort series - Diese Fahrräder wurdem mit dem Gedanke entwickelt maximalen Komfort zu gewährleisten selbst unter den schlechtesten befahrbaren Oberflächen. Ein dafür ausgelegter Rahmen erleichtert das Auf und absteigen und die Rahmengeometrie in Verbindung mit den sorgfältig ausgewählten Komponenten er-möglichen sowohl eine wundervollen Sonntagsausflug wie auch eine relaxte tägliche Benutzung in der City.

City series - Diese Räder wurden gebaut um bequem in der Stadt zu fahren. Durch die Bauweise des Rahmens ist das Auf - und Absteigen ausgesprochen komfortabel und die dementsprechende Geometrie in Verbindung mit den richtigen Komponenten garantiert eine aufrechte Sitzposition. Das mutige und durchdachte Design zeigt das wir KROSS sind und die gewissenhafte Auswahl aller Bauteile verspricht dem Fahrer zuverlässigkeit.

RHS System - Um unsere Rahmen maximal zu erhalten, benutzen wir austauschbare Ausfallenden welche bei einer Beschädigung einfach und schnell gewechselt werden können. Weil das Gewinde im Ausfallende ist und eine spezielle Mutter besitzt wird das beschädigen des Rahmens auf ein Minimum reduziert.

Smooth welding - st ein präzises Fertigungsverfahren zum glätten der Schweißnähte, welches die Rahmenästhe-tik erhöht ohne irgendwelche negativen Einwirkungen auf die Widerstandsfähigkeit.

Hydro-F Tube - Das ist ein Rohrformgebungsverfahren unter Verwendung von Flüssigkeit bei hoher Druckan-wendung. Diese Technik ermöglicht vor allem eine sehr präzise Fertigung von leichten Konstruktionen mit hoher Widerstandsfähigkeit.

Carbon - In diesem Herstellungsverfahren werden Monokonstruktionen mittels des Legens von länglichen Kohlen-fasersträngen gefertigt. Die klassische Formgebung der Rohre in Kombination mit einem breiten Rohrdurchmess-er erzeugt den Effekt eines sehr niedrigen Gewichts in Verbindung mit einer sehr hohen Rahmensteifigkeit.

Aluminum Super Lite - Dank der Wärmebehandlung bei der Fertigung hat diese Legierung eine sehr hohe Steifigkeit´s und Widerstandsfähigkeit in Verbindung mit einem niedrigen Gewicht. Zur Gewichtsersparnis ist der Rahmen 3-fach konifiziert, in Verbindung mit Rahmenverstärkungen an belastungsstarken Stellen.

Aluminum Lite - Das ist eine verbesserten 6061 Aluminiumlegierung mit einem idealen Kompromiss zwischen einer hohen Steifigkeit und einem niedrigen Gewicht. Eine sehr hohe Langlebigkeit, Bruchbeständigkeit und Wid-erstandsfähigkeit sind die charakteristischen Merkmale. Dank eine vollständigen konifizierung der Rahmenrohre konnten wir ein geringes Gewicht erzeugen bei einer gleichbleibenden hohen Rahmensteifigkeit.

Comfort Sit - Eine gefederte Sattelstütze in Kombination mit einem anatomisch geformten Sattel sichert eine unvergleichbaren hohen Komfort beim Fahren.

Aluminum performance - Diese Aluminimlegierung kennzeichnet eine hohe Steifigkeit und Bruchsicherheit in Verbindung mit dem typisch niedrigen Gewicht.

Hi-Strength Carry Rack - Der hintere Gepäckträger ermöglicht eine sicher Transport Gepäck, selbst bei hohen Lasten dank seiner stabilen Konstruktion.

Press Fit Bottom Bracket - Diese Kugellager sind samt Lagerschalem innenliegend im Lagergehäuse. Damit vergrößert sich die Effektivität beim Pedalieren und es entsteht zudem eine höhere Kraftübertragung auf das Hinterrad

Pocket Bike - Fahrräder die zusammenfaltet werden können zu einem kleine Packmaß ermöglichen eine leichten Transport und eine platzsparende Aufbewahrung.

Active series - Diese Teile sind für MTB Enthusiasten ausgelegt. Die über die Jahre erworbenen Er-fahrungen haben es uns ermöglicht eine Rahmen zu entwickeln der auf das Freizeit Biken ausgelegt ist. Ein längerer Abstand zwischen Tretlager und Hinterradachse, das tiefer positionierte Innenlager, ein minimal erhöhter Steuerkopf, wie ein kürzeres Oberrohr wirk sich maßgeblich auf das stabilere Lenkver-halten aus, bei einer Fahrposition die deutlich bequemer ist. Die Auswahl der richtigen Komponenten und das sportliche Design lassen das Fahrrad um Klassen besser aussehen.

Sport series - Die Modelle der Sport Reihe sind für alle sportlichen orientierten Biker die eine gute Ausstattung mit hochwertigen Komponenten haben wollen ohne jetzt aber darauf versessen zu sein bei jedem Marathon an der Startliene zu sein und wenn, dann ab und zu. Die Rahmen haben eine ähnliche Geometrie wie unsere Race Bikes und das bei einem niedrigeren mit einem sehr guten Preis / Leistungsverhältniss.

Race Pro series - Das sind die am fortschrittlichsten Entwickelten Fahrräder in denen die Technik bis ins kleinste Detail zu erkennen ist. Material der höchsten Güte mit den Erkenntnissen der neu-sten Technik wie auch Top Komponenten, das sind alles grundlegende Elemente die diese Fahrräder von andern unterscheiden. Das ist das überragende Teil für Wettkämpfer ohne Kompromisse.

Race series - Die Modelle der Race Serie, das sind Bike für die angehenden Profis. Ein angemess-ener Preis bei hochwertigen Komponenten im Zusammenhang mit den eigenen Vorstellungen ist das Rezept zum Erfolg. Und gleichzeitig kann es keiner „den Anfängern“ verbieten. Alle Räder dieser Modellgruppe sind mit hochwertigen Bauteilen ausgestattet in Verbindung einer Race Geometrie.

Carbon SL - Наша лучшая модель создана с применением карбона SL. REVO VIRTUAL SUSPENSION (RVS) IS ONE OF OUR MOST RECENT DEVELOPMENTS.

Designed by our R&D team it was launched in 2012 and became a huge success in the past season when applied to the Earth range of bikes. In this years’ collection, the RVS is used on Earth 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 models.

WHAT MAKES THE RVS OUTSTANDING ?

EFFICIENCY – with negative compression the suspension doesn’t float when pedaling and yet reacts well when a wheel hit all kinds of road bumps and irregularities

SUSPENSION INDEPENDENT FROM THE DRIVE SYSTEM – well designed configuration of lengths and linkage angles allows the sus-pension work independently from the drive system

The graph illustrates the weight transfer of forces from the axis of the rear wheel onto damping forc-es. As it shows on the graph, at the beginning of the fork’s travel suspension is more sensitive and reacts well for small track bumps, i.e. roots. At the end of the fork’s travel, there is a progressive increase in the spring rate (suspension stiffness) what gives better response in the rough terrain.

SUSPENSION INDEPENDENT FROM THE DRIVE SYSTEM – Our cutting edge RVS is a linkage design which perfectly disengages the drive system from the suspension. As such, it helps eliminate the ‘sway’ effect and makes the ride over road bumps much smoother, which is mainly caused by decreasing negative dumping and the increasing suspension stroke.

MAXIMUM PEDALLING PERFORMANCE – With negative com-pression, the lower linkage rotates when the fork compresses. This movement expands the distance between the centre of the bottom bracket and the wheel axis, causes the chain to stretch, and resists suspension compression. The negative compression process is what makes the RVS such an efficient suspension system.

MINIMIZED PEDAL KICK BACK – Thanks to specific configuration of suspension angles, the cranks deflection doesn’t exceed 11,5 degrees when suspension is at its top stroke. Also, for most of the ride the suspension works at its mid stroke, at which point the pedal kick back does not exceed 9 degrees so the rider can hardly feel it.

EFFICIENT BRAKING PERFORMANCE – In contrast to other types of suspension, the RVS doesn’t cause suspension stiffen-ing. At the top of suspension stroke the brake caliper deflects for 8 degrees and therefore the suspension doesn’t have any negative effect on braking performance.

Das Projekt Endstand in unserer R&D Abteilung zur Produktion im Jahr 2012, welches im Modell Earth eingesetzt wurde und zu einem Hit in der letzten Saison wurde. In diesem Jahr wird es in den Modellen Earth 1.0, 2.0 und 3.0 benutzt

WAS MACHT UNSER RVS EINZIGARTIG ?

EFFEKTIVITÄT – Dank der optimalen Umlenken knickt der Hinterbauwährend der Fahrt nicht ein und dennoch reagiert er auf jede noch so denkbare Unebenheit im Gelände.

UNABHÄNGIKEIT – Dank des Richtigen Winkels und der richtigen Längen bei der Konstruktion des Hinterbaus, arbeitet Dieser unabhängig vom Antrieb.

Das Schaubild zeigt die Übertragung der Kräfte der Hinterradachse auf den Dämpfer (die Kompression des Dämpfers). Wie wir sehen hat die Schwinge zu Beginn ein sehr weiches Ansprechverhalten was im leichten Geläne sehr von Vorteil ist. (z. B. Wurzeln) Im weiteren Verlauf sehen wir das die Schwinge progressiver Anspricht. Das wirkt sich im schweren Gelände positiv aus.

EINE UNABHÄNGIG ARBEITENDE SCHWINGE - Das RVS ist mit Hilfe von Nocken ge-baut welche extrem gut das wirken der Antriebskräfte bei Fahrrad unterbindet. Dank dem konnte der Effekt des „Wippens“ eliminiert werden und es konnte ein flüssigeres Gesamtfahrwerk erzeugt werden welchem ein geringeres gegen Federn verdankt werden kann bei einem gleichzeitigen Arbeiten der Schwinge

MAXIMALE PEDAL EFFEKTIVITÄT – Das Wippen ist die Bewe-gung des Hinerbaus beim einknicken der Schwinge. Diese Be-wegung vergrößert den Abstand zwischen dem Innenlager und der Hinterradachse. Durch diesen Effekt entsteht ein ständiges anspannen der Kette und eine Reduzierte Arbeit der Hinterbau Dämpfung ( dies nimmt zu je höher der Sprung ist). Genau dank des RVS des Schwingen – Systems kann ein Wippen verhindert werden.

DIE VERMINDERUNG DES PEDAL KICK BACK – Dank des dementsprechendem Winkel der Schwinge im Verhält-nis zur Kurbel entsteht ein Winkel knapp über 11,5 Grad. Es ist beachtend zu sagen das die Schwinge hauptsäch-lich im Bereich von 60% Ihrer maximalen Wirkung Arbeitet, und es werden 9 Grad beim PEDAL KICK BACK nicht überschritten was praktisch nicht spürbar ist.

EEFFEKTIVES BREMSEN - Die Konstruktion des RVS unterbindet Bremsunterbrechungen während der Arbeit der Hin-terbauschwinge ( im Gegensatz zu anderen Systemen). Wir erlangten eine Krümmung von höchstens 8 Grad bei der maxi-malen Arbeit der Schwinge. Und dank dessen hat die Schwinge keine Einwirkung auf die Bremsen.

ПОДВЕСКА REVO VIRTUAL SUSPENSION — ЭТО ОДНА ИЗ НАШИХ ПОСЛЕДНИХ РАЗРАБОТОК.

Она спроектирована и внедрена нашим отделом R&D в 2012 году. Система стала хитом прошлого сезона в моделях Earth. В этом году применяется в моделях Earth и Moon.

ЧТО ДЕЛАЕТ НАШУ ПОДВЕСКУ RVS УНИКАЛЬНОЙ ?

ЭФФЕКТИВНОСТЬ - благодаря оптимальному отскоку не проседает при педалировании и при этом реагирует даже на минимальные неровности.

НЕЗАВИСИМОСТЬ - благодаря правильно подобранной длине и углам линков работает независимо от трансмиссии.

Описание. На графике показаны параметры соотношения силы, действующей на ось заднего колеса, и силы, вызывающей сжатие демпфера. Как видно, сначала подвеска очень чувствительная, что проявляется в лучшей реакции на небольшие, повторяющиеся препятствия (например, корни). Далее подвеска становится жестче (становится более прогрессивной), что дает лучший эффект на бездорожье.

ПОДВЕСКА ОТДЕЛЕНА ОТ ТРАНСМИССИИ - подвеска RVS с помощью системы шарниров эффективно изолирована от работы трансмиссии велосипеда. Благодаря этому было легче устранить эффект «раскачивания» и добиться более плавного отрабатывания неровностей за счет уменьшения отскока и увеличения диапазона сжатия подвески.

МАКСИМАЛЬНАЯ ЭФФЕКТИВНОСТЬ ПЕДАЛИРОВАНИЯ - отскок - это движение нижнего шатуна по мере сжатия подвески. Это движение приводит к увеличению расстояния между центром каретки и осью колеса. В результате цепь натягивается и препятствует сжатию подвески (уменьшающемуся с увеличением хода). Именно благодаря оптимальному отскоку RVS является максимально эффективной системой подвески.

МИНИМАЛЬНАЯ ОТДАЧА ПЕДАЛЕЙ - благодаря правильному углу подвески в максимально сжатом состоянии отклонение шатунов составляет не более 11,5 градусов. Добавим, что подвеска в основном работает в диапазоне до 60% своего хода, а в этом случае отдача педалей (pedal kick back) не превышает 9 градусов и практически незаметна.

ЭФФЕКТИВНОЕ ТОРМОЖЕНИЕ - благодаря уникальной конструкции RVS подвеска не становится жестче во время торможения (в отличие от других систем подвески). Нам удалось уменьшить отклонение крепления тормоза всего до 8 градусов при максимально сжатой подвеске, благодаря чему ее работа не влияет на эффективность торможения.

For the 2013 season we’ve developed some new additions to our collection:- New range of road bicycles – our road bikes are coming back with style after a few years’ break. In the Road range you will find four different models, including two carbon framed bikes that combine pro-fessional performance geometry with well thought tubing significantly increasing the comfort of ride.- New range of Urban bikes – the range includes new Inzai and Seto models as well as an upgraded Flexy model, which is available in three different design versions. Urban bikes make a perfect choice for all those who simply don’t have time to get stuck in big city traffic. - New 29er’s range! The new big wheel models, developed by our R&D team, include two cutting-edge carbon framed bikes for tough cross country races and marathons as well as three aluminum frame models with more standard design.

Manufacturing of Kross bicycles is a complex process involving hundreds of staff that ensure our prod-ucts represent the highest quality and meet the needs of our customers. Our manufacturing site comprises four professionally equipped assembly lines, a rim production unit that manufactures two kinds of rims for our bikes, and a wheel building line. What we see as a real jewel in our crown is our frame painting site, one of the biggest frame painting factories in Europe. Here, it’s all about delivering the ultimate perfect quality frames for all Kross bicycles. Having our manufacturing site located in Poland guarantees highest standards of production excel-lence. This, combined with our perfect attention to detail, help us deliver safe and reliable products for our customers. Since 2002 all KROSS products are certified with the quality of production norm EN ISO 9001. With over 17 000 m2 warehouse space, high stock levels and regular stock supplies, we are capable of handling even most extensive orders.

ROADVento is a range of bikes developed for those addicted to high speed road cycling. Depend-ing on your needs you can choose from four available models. Ventus 4.0 and 3.0 are truly robust and technologically advanced carbon bikes. The advanced monocoque technology uti-lises transitioning fibres and profiles to achieve a better shock absorption and to transfer the rider’s power onto the drive. What makes a good bike is a well though-out design that has been tried and tested in practice. We have designed our 2013 road collection to meet three main criteria:

- Efficient energy transmission onto a drive system- Stiff yet low weight frame- Well matched components to achieve high quality of the bikes of at a reasonable price

With all this in mind we’ve created a prototype of our 2013 road bike. In the next stage of development, the bike underwent months of tests, received further improvements, and was tested again by our engineers as well as Kross Racing Team. As a result of all this work, we’ve developed a carbon frame with excellent shock absorption, suitable for road cycling. Addition-ally, the bike has excellent acceleration thanks to a stiff frame with specific arrangement of carbon layers.

Earth it’s a range of full suspension bikes designed for marathon races. The bikes utilise the RVS - a virtual pivoting point suspension system developed by Kross engineers. Perfectly de-signed frame geometry along with well matched lengths and linkage angles make these bikes ideally suited for technically difficult tracks, where the RVS reacts to even the smallest track bumps. The bikes make a superb choice for marathons and multi-stage races where it’s all about excellent grip, comfort, and safety.

MTB XCM bikes are equipped with a very well thought-out RVS suspension system, designed and developed by Kross. The bikes have been designed to be functional, efficient, and highly reliable during mountain cycling and mountain bike marathons. With the RVS they make a perfect choice even for the most demanding riders.

Tapered head tube ensures more durability and stiffness making the bike easy to ma-noeuvre.

With the Post Mount system there is no need to use an adapter what makes the bikes lighter and results in better heat ab-sorption during long braking.

With smooth welding technology all welds are very smooth and therefore hardly visible on the tubes giving the bikes an excellent look.

The RVS suspension is a linkage design comprised of two linkage units connecting the front and the back of the frame. The system ensures highly ef-ficient performance and extremely good traction.

This range features solid low weight bikes equipped with the highest class components. De-veloped to be reliable in all track conditions, especially cross country races or bike marathons.

To create the top of the range Level A+ model, it took our engineers many years of work fol-lowed by hundreds of kilometres of test rides by the Kross Racing Team taking part in bike races, and further development and improvements. As a result, we’ve created a bike that meets the toughest quality requirements.

Our carbon frames are built with specifically arranged layers of carbon fibres. The fibres in each part of the frame have been arranged in a specific direction to respond to the force act-ing on this exact part of the frame. This helped reduce the frame’s weight without compromis-ing on the strength and lateral stiffness. The arrangement of carbon layers allows absorption of the highest frequency shocks on the track and ensures maximum transfer of the rider’s power onto the drive system.

REAR FRAME TRIANGLE - built as a single element to ensure better lateral stiffness while maintaining a comfortable riding position. As such, the bike can absorb even the highest frequency shocks.

BB92 BOTTOM BRACKET - A new wide bottom bracket stiffens the whole bottom bracket structure. Internal bearings increase pedal efficiency, reduce bearing wear, and increase the power transfer onto the wheel.

TAPERED HEAD TUBE - Increased diameter of the head tube’s bottom bearing to 1.5” im-proves the bike’s stability, increases the stiffness of the frame / fork structure, and reduces bearing wear.

Our wide range of 29’’ mountain bikes have been developed for leisure cyclists as well as the Kross Racing Team who all prefer to ride on 29’’ wheels. Compared to 26’’ bicycles, bigger wheels make the bike more stable for both uphill and downhill rides. The bikes are also less likely to lose traction, which is particularly useful on a bumpy terrain or during steep uphill riding. Bigger size wheels also allow a rider achieve higher speed as the rolling resistance is lower than on smaller wheels.

Der größere Durchmesser verringert das Rutschen der Reifens, das Fahrrad ist deutliche Stabiler während Ab – und Auffahrten und es verzeiht dem Fahrer deutlich mehr als Räder mit 26“ Es ist zu beachten das 29“ im fachen Gelände mehr Vorteile haben. Ein größeres Rad hat gleichzeitig eine höhere Drehkraft was es einem erlaubt eine höhere Geschwindigkeit beizubehalten.

TECHNOLOGY

Designing the frame for our 29’’ collection proved quite a challenge. Unlike metal, carbon is anisotropic which means that its stiffness and durability is directionally dependable on carbon fibres.

We have decided to manufacture the frame utilizing the Uni Direction Carbon technology as it ensures most adequate density, stiffness, and durability of each part of the frame. Follow-ing advanced durability tests, carbon fibres are laid in a selected direction to respond to the forces acting on this exact part of the frame.

Main advantages of the new 29’’ Level B + frame include:

Seat tube - A specific seat tube profile al-lowed for shortening the back triangle to maintain the maximum manoeuvrability of the bike.

BB92 Bottom Bracket - A new wide bottom bracket stiffens the whole bottom bracket structure. Internal bearings increase pedal efficiency, reduce bearing wear, and in-crease the power transfer onto the wheel

Frame – The frame is manufactured in the Uni Direction technology that ensures most suitable arrangement of carbon fibres. The frame is solid and laterally stiff yet still flex-ible and comfortable to ride.

Tapered Head Tube - Increased diameter of the head tube’s bottom bearing to 1.5” improves the bike’s stability, increases the stiffness of the frame / fork structure, and reduces bearing wear.

Femiline range has been developed to suit the anatomy and style of female cyclists and provide them with both stylish design and advanced technology. Because women require significantly different bicycle design than men, we felt it was crucial to develop a range of bikes aimed exclusively at female riders.

Our 2013 bikes come with a new, hydroformed, and much lighter frame. The frame geometry in Femiline bikes differs from the one used in mens bicycles. A shorter top tube shortens the wheel base making the bike easier to manoeuvre and more comfortable to ride, while a shorter stem helps maintain an upright position when cycling.

Why Kross Dirt bikes are the best? Because they are used by the best dirtriders, Marcin Rot and Adam Glosvic, and come with the frames developed jointly with Marcin and other top Polish dirtriders.

Never before has the process of designing the bike’s geometry and tube profiles seen so many clashes between the riding experience of our riders and the knowledge of our en-gineers. And never before have we seen the frames so light, durable and incredibly stable during long air jumps.

A very short rear triangle in Spade and Spade PRO bikes makes them easier to spin around. The adjusted length of the up-per tube adds to their stability.

CNC machined hangers in Spade and Re-bel bikes have been designed for maximum load. Kross logo engraved on the frame adds some stylish look to the bike.

The down tube in this aluminium or steel frame is hydroformed what allows for wider spacing between the down tube and the head tube. In this highly sensitive element of the frame each millimetre of weld adds to the frame’s durability.

These bikes are a superb choice for high speed cycling on the tarmac. With 28’’ low rolling resistance tyres and sports frame geometry the bikes are incredibly easy to ride and can guarantee plenty of fun as well. To keep the them light-weight we’ve added no additional equipment such as mudguards or a carrier.
