Alhamdulillah, buku Perangkaan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat 2013 merupakan penerbitan siri ke-11 Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat (KPWKM) dan yang pertama sejak saya menerajui KPWKM pada 17 Mei 2013.

Di kesempatan ini saya ingin menekankan betapa pentingnya data dikumpul mengikut jantina dan kumpulan sasar bagi membantu kerajaan membuat dasar-dasar yang efektif selain terus dapat menilai semula dasar sedia ada. Selain itu, data tersebut dapat digunakan untuk pengurusan bajet dan perbelanjaan bagi kumpulan sasar kementerian secara lebih berhemah. Sebagai kementerian yang menerajui inisiatif Bajet Responsif Gender, penerbitan siri ke-11 ini adalah testimoni kesungguhan KPWKM untuk mengekalkan budaya penggunaan data yang tepat dan berorientasi pengguna.
