Superior performance
The KONE MonoSpace® range providesone of the most environmentally soundelevator concepts in the industry, incorporating KONE’s commitment forfuture re-use and recycling of as manyproducts and components as possible.
The energy-efficient KONE EcoDisc® drive ofMonoSpace consumes approximately half theenergy of conventional machines. Significantcost savings are also achieved through the useof low duty mains power supply cable.
EcoDisc’s absence of oil removes the risk of soilcontamination and fire that are potentialthreats in hydraulic systems.
In order to promote sustainability, Life CycleManagement (LCM) is incorporated into thedesign of MonoSpace elevators. LCM is anevaluation of the environmental impact of theproduct throughout its life. The result is a moreefficient design and use of materials, transport, manufacture and safe disposal as well asavoiding other polluting factors whereverpossible.

A full width glass wall is possible on sides B, C or D, but noton the wall where the car operation panel is situated. A full width/fullheight glass wall consists of two panes of glass (the upper and lowerwindows). Between the upper and lower window is a metal frame of atleast 100mm width and a handrail*.
The maximum window size is 2,000 x 2,000mmand minimum partial window width is 400mm.
* EU elevator regulations require a handrail in glass-walled elevators. Contact your KONE representative for detailed information on elevator regulations and technical details.
KONE Visual Shaft Kit
Glass has become an increasinglyimportant component in the facades ofmodern buildings. When combinedwith glass elevator shafts, architectscan provide passengers with a newkind of scenic elevator experience. Onedrawback of glass shafts, however, isthat the elevator car’s exterior, theappearance of which is not always veryappealing, is on full display.
KONE can provide a range of VisualSolutions to enhance the appearanceof your glass elevator shaft, theyinclude cladding for some of the visiblecomponents and specially paintedcomponents that have been developedspecifically for cars that run in glassshafts.
Whether you have a complete glassshaft or just one glass wall, you canchoose any or all of the elements ofthe visual solution that maximise theappearance and value of your building.

KONE DCS
KONE DCS is the first destination control system adaptedspecifically for low to mid-rise buildings. It’s ideal for premiumresidential buildings where residents are likely to be carryinghand luggage or holding small children. When entering thebuilding, residents select their destination floor at user-friendlydestination operating panels (DOPs) in the lobby, rather than inthe car. This avoids picking up and putting down items at theelevator entrance and then in the elevator car.
This not only saves time but increases comfort and convenienceparticularly if the car is crowded. All other floors are equippedwith conventional landing call buttons.
