    We source our aubergines between April and October from the UK and Holland.

    2. What would you see in a good and poor quality aubergine?

    Good Quality - Firm, Shiny, Bright. Poor Quality - Wrinkly, Rubbery, Dull, Mushy.

    3. Where should you advise customers to keep their aubergines once at home?

    Aubergines are an ambient veg and should not be kept in the fridge.

    4. Explain the nutritional benefits of aubergines.

    The main nutritional benefits of an Aubergine are high in Dietary Fibre, Vitamin B-6, Potassium, Very low in fat and salt.

    We source our Squashes from Argentina between January and June, Greece between June and October and Senegal for any shortfalls between the two seasons.

    The two varieties of Squash that we range are Butternut Squash and Paquito Squash.

    Butternut Squash - Most popular with customers. Sweet and Nutty taste. Compliments a number of recipes and meal solutions.

    Paquito Squash - Brighter fresh colour, More intense flavour, Great texture, Smoother than Butternut.

    Do not to store their Pumpkins in the fridge as they can last four weeks in ambient temperatures.

    4. What does a good quality pumpkin look like?

    A good quality pumpkin is bright orange all over and firm to touch.

    Good quality cabbages are firm and dense with outer leaves firmly attached. Heads should be solid and leaves crisp, free from soiling and pest control.
