I am a recent graduate of Texas A&M Univer-sity and come from a small town outside of Houston. I love to travel. My most recent ex-ploits have been around Europe, using Italy as a home base. I’m not sure where my next ad-venture will be, but I know that I will have fun documenting it. While photography is a hobby I enjoy, I am particularly interested in prod-uct design. There’s something about seeing my designs on real (or even imagined) products that is exciting. Enjoy perusing my portfolio!

SewFine is a small embroidery business that is looking to expand their merchandise. The design needed to be something that could grow with the business and have enough flexibility to work with different color pal-ettes for different seasons. Several differ-ent designs were in the running for the fi-nal, but a simple and elegant typeface was chosen and used with a playful take on the embroidery work SewFine is known for.

The American Cancer Society has its own set of logos and artwork, but in-dividual communities may create their own for specific events like Relay for Life. This logo and the accompanying artwork was designed for the Colorado County Relay for Life for their 2012 5K.

The logo incorporates what the runners will encounter on their route through the historical downtown of Columbus. The downtown area and courthouse square have distingushed landmarks that made the location of the race in-stantly recognizable.

I was asked to create a billboard for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce to advertise a new festival that the city hopes to have annually. The billboard needed to evoke a sense of home-town pride and highlight the location of the festival taking place on the historic courthouse square. The colors needed to take on a fall palette but had to be bright enough to catch the attention of passersby from its location on Interstate 10.

In this case, “branding” takes on a double meaning. My family needed an updated brand that could be used for their ranch and on their business cards. This card highlights their main industries at the moment: timber, grapes, and cattle.

A business partnership with another family required another logo. It needed to have enough flexibility to be on business cards, vineyard property, and eventually be able to make an appearance on wine la-bels. Cummins Creek Vineyard will be selling grapes to wineries apart of the Go Texan organization who pride themselves on only using Texan grapes. The logo needed to appeal not only to the tastes of the vineyard owners but also the local wineries that would buy their pro-duce.
