Penjelasan Lambang Daerah Kabupaten Kulon Progo Explanation of Kulon Progo Regency Seal

1. Bintang Segi Lima melambangkan landasan idiil perjuangan yang tetap dan

tidak akan berubah yaitu falsafah Negara (Pancasila) yang terdapat pada

alinea IV Pembukaan Undang-Undang Dasar 1945.

2. Bundar Bulat melambangkan bahwa hanya landasan idiil yang tetap dan tidak

akan berubah itulah segenap lapisan dan aliran masyarakat serta semua

keyakinan dapat dipersatukan.

3. Lingkaran yang berbentuk rantai yang tidak terputus itu melambangkan bahwa

semua keadaan di Daerah Kabupaten Kulon Progo adalah untuk semua rakyat

di Daerah Kulon Progo pula.

4. Kapas dan padi melambangkan bahan kepentingan pokok di samping yang

lain-lain, sedangkan lukisan kelapa dan cengkeh menunjukkan Daerah Kulon

Progo mempunyai penghasilan yang spesifik untuk bahan perdagangan

eksport.

5. Garis/lukisan tinggi rendah melambangkan Daerah Kabupaten Kulon Progo

terdiri dari Daerah datar dan Daerah Pegunungan.

6. Coretan 3 buah melambangkan bahwa Kulon Progo mempunyai 3 sungai

besar, yaitu : Sungai progo, Sungai Serang dan Sungai Bogowonto.

7. Lukisan nyala juplak (pelita tradisional) melambangkan jiwa dan semangat

pantang mundur dan tidak dapat dimatikan oleh tiupan angin dari segala

penjuru.

MAKNA LOGO KULON PROGO BINANGUN Meaning of Kulon Progo Binangun Logos

A. Dari Segi Bentuk

1. Secara keseluruhan bentuk Logo adalah gambar GUNUNGAN dari dunia wayang kulit. Dalam dunia wayang GUNUNGAN menggambarkan isi dari alam semesta / dunia / jagad raya, baik manusia, tumbuh-tumbuhan, hewan dan segala budayanya, yang merupakan wujud, cipta, rasa, karsa dan karya manusia. Gunungan digerakkan oleh dalang pada awal, pergantian episode maupun akhir cerita.

2. Dalam logo, bentuk gambar Gunungan diisi :

2.1. Gambar bunga berwarna kuning berjumlah 8 (delapan). Gambar ini merupakan simbolisasi 8 unsur dari motto BINANGUN yaitu : Beriman, Indah, Nuhoni, Aman, Nalar, Guyub, Ulet dan Nyaman.

2.2. Gambar kelopak daun, berjumlah 5 (lima) berwarna hijau. Gambar ini merupakan simbolisasi dari 5 sila Pancasila Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia.

2.3. Tulisan KULON PROGO BINANGUN pada wadah kelopak

daun yang berwarna kuning dan warna tulisan hitam.

B. Dari Segi Warna 1. Kuning : Lambang Kemuliaan, Keagungan. 2. Hijau : Lambang Kesuburan, Kemakmuran, Kesejahteraan. 3. Hitam : Lambang Kesungguhan, Kemantapan, Ketenangan.

Logo didominasi warna Hijau dan Kuning, sesuai dengan rontek Kabupaten Dati II Kulon Progo yaitu PARE ANOM.

vC. Makna Menyeluruh

Masyarakat dan Pemerintah Kabupaten Kulon Progo dalam membangun daerahnya, bertujuan agar menjadi lebih maju, makmur, sejahtera lahir batin (Gunungan warna hijau dan kuning). Tujuan pembangunan dan cara mencapainya bersumber pada Pancasila dan UUD 1945 (Kelopak daun 5 buah dan wadahnya).

BERIMAN dan bertaqwa adalah landasan masyarakat Kabupaten

Kulon Progo. Dalam membangun, maka segala kondisi dan potensi yang ada, akan dikelola, dilestarikan dan ditata secara serasi, selaras dan seimbang, sehingga terwujud tata hubungan yang harmonis, berkesinambungan dan INDAH, serta menimbulkan suasana dan rasa yang NYAMAN dan AMAN lahir dan batin serta tentram.

Kemajuan dan kesejahteraan lahir dan batin hanya dapat terwujud

bila keseluruhan masyarakat Kulon Progo NUHONI (mentaati) segala peraturan agama, aturan masyarakat dan aturan kehidupan alam yang telah ditetapkan oleh Alloh, dengan sungguh-sungguh. Mengingat adanya berbagai sumber daya alam, sumber daya manusia dan lajunya perkembangan kemajuan Iptek, maka untuk keberhasilan pembangunan, masyarakat Kulon Progo haruslah menjaga persatuan, kesatuan, meningkatkan kegotongroyongan, GUYUB dan rukun. Berbagai hambatan haruslah dijadikan tantangan dan dihadapi dengan semangat tinggi, tekad yang kuat, ULET serta menggunakan NALAR (8 helai bunga warna kuning). Maka dengan penuh kesanggupan dan keyakinan yang mantap, Pemerintah Daerah dan Masyarakat Kabupaten Kulon Progo akan membangun Kulon Progo yang maju, makmur dan sejahtera dengan jiwa, semangat dan tekad Kulon Progo Binangun.
