The Pelicans were looking for a solid win on a cold January night as they battled it out against a worthy opponent known as Avon Old Farms. The shivering, and dedicated, spectators watched intensely

as the first puck was released from the referee’s hand. The two evenly matched teams both made there way into the opponents territory more than once, firing rockets at the opposing goalies. Until finally late in

the second period there was a goal by the Pelicans. Avon Old Farms still held there held their heads high as they sniped a goal top shelf into the Pelican’s net. Winding down to the last minutes of the least third

and final period. Avon Old Farms took a powerful shot at the Pelicans goalie, but he held his ground and stopped the puck like a brick wall. The Pelicans advanced from backchecking to forechecking, and finally to the moment the crowd has been waiting for! Chris Jang took a huge wind up and set himself up for a

slapshot, the puck soared through the air, finally landing in the back of Avon’s net, ending a terrific game. The fans applauded the home team and Avon Old Farms left the arena wishing they could have done

more.
