Technical characteristic:Pressure expansion tanks are welded steel tanks the inner space of which is hermetically divided in twoparts with a rubber membrane or a rubber bag. On the valve side there is compressed air and on thewelded-on-piece side there is water space of heating system. Heating water is brought to the inner bagspace and the compressed air coming through a small valve influence the outside of the rubber bag. Ifthe gas cushion pressure is properly set the pressure in the heating system is continuously transferredthrough the membrane to the pressure gas cushion.Connecting elements:– welded-on piece, flange, pipeConnecting dimensions:see the tablesFinish:Ecologically harmless paint.

Basic technical data:• Expanzomat expansion vessels can be operated in heating systems with temperatures up to 120 °C.• Maximal temperature at the membrane is 70 °C and can be used for water and non-aggressive

liquids. Usage with other media must be consulted with the producer.

Expanzomat pressure vessels are delivered with the following constantly set pressure of the gas part:• 1 bar (up to 35 litres)• 1.5 bar (up to 320 litres)• 2 bar (others)The corresponding working pressure of this part is set when installed into the heating system inaccordance with the assembly manual, however the minimum pressure must be 50 kPa.

Colour:Red colour. On special agreement the colour can be blue or white.

Usage

The pressure and expansion vessels EXPANZOMAT represent a progressive element in heating technology.The EXPANZOVAT pressure expansion vessel is a component of safety apparatus of water systems forcentral heating, working on the thermostatic principle.

The principle and function of the EXPANZOMAT enables:

• compensation of changes in thermal expansivity of heating system water without unnecessary loss of it

• maintaining overpressure in the heating system in determined limits• automatic refilling of water into the heating system with small leakage, not causing quick

loss of working medium• optimal conditions for non-loss heat distribution.

The EXPANZOMAT pressure vessels can be utilized in all types of central heating systems (if their construction complies with the requested parameters).

OrderingTanks can be ordered according to their type designations or their order numbers given in the catalo-que.

Service life15 years when instructions for operating the tank in accordance with the operational regulations areobserved.

Disposal after the service lifeWhen put out of service the tanks can be liquidate in an ordinary way. They are made of fully recyclablematerials.

Usage:The safety valves are designed for cold and warm water up to 110 °C, air and non-aggressive gases.

Construction:The valve body is a casting, the valve seat is flat, the cone has a teflon sealing. Adjustment is made atthe factory, later readjustment is also possible only at the manufacturer. The valve is balanced by turningthe plastic relief wheel. The spring is protected against effects of the medium by a rubber membrane.The body is from malleable cast iron. The seat, the cone are made of brass. The sealing is of siliconerubber. The spring is from noble steel.

Connection:The inlet and outlet of the valve is provided with threads G 1“ – 8H.

Assembly: The valve is assembled only in the vertical position. It is recommended to balance the valve severaltimes after mounting and reaching the working overpressure, to eliminate possible dirt in the seat.

Operation and maintenanceThe valve operates automatically and requires no service, apart from the function check consisting ofbalancing the cone with a balance wheel once a month.

When designing Aquamat, it is recommended to keep to the following table:

In other cases, it is recommended to derive the size from the table above or contact teh designer incharge, if needed.

It is recommended connecting an AQF filter to Aquamat to pump water from a well. This is a multi-layerfilter to trap suspended solids. This prevents sand and other suspended solids clogging the system.This filter can also be cleaned when clogged, i.e. back-flow washing. There is no need to buy dispo-sable filter inserts.

• Design of Aquamat as a device for expansion of the heated supply water.

The design of Aquamat as an expansion tank connected to the system together with supply water hea-ting is a special case. Connecting to a heating boiler or another supply water reservoir. In this case,Aquamat must be designed for the expansion (volume) of water stored in the reservoir. The calculationis therefore similar to the design of the heating system expansion tank.

Usage:The AQUAMAT pressure vessels operate as reservoirs of the pumped water for home water works,repumping stations, industrial repumping stations, etc. They are suitable for all types of pumps, com-plying with their requirements by their constructional parameters (volume + maximal working overp-ressure). Operating them provides continuous water distribution, especially from the own well, in therequired amount. By maintaining water supply for immediate usage they prolong life span of the pump.The AQUAMAT pressure vessels are also suitable for use in industrial technologies, especially wherecontinuous supply of water max. 20 °C warm is required.The service water should not be contaminated with aggressive substances. The materials in contactwith water are approved for contact with potable water.

Construction:The AQUAMAT is a welded steel pressure vessel with an in-built rubber bag. The rubber bag dividesthe inner space into two parts. The gas part between the vessel shell and the bag is permanently pres-sured via the filling valve. The rubber bag acts as a water reservoir. The vessel is connected into thewater distribution system by a threaded neck. The rubber bag is replaceable. The gas space is pres-sured by the manufacturer to the filling overpressure of 0.2 MPa. This filling pressure is adjusted at auser, depending on the pressure switches used, controlling the pump. Beneficial is reliable and conti-nuous water supply, simple handling and easy installation.

Delivery:The AQUAMAT pressure vessels are delivered packed in cardboard packages, which protect them aga-inst damage during transport. Each AQUAMAT for 40 l and more is equipped with a set for fixing ontoa solid o o support. Storage: in dry, covered places at temperatures 0 to +45°C, free from aggressivefumes.

Construction:The Aquamat P is a welded steel pressure vessel, upright with welded on pipe couplings. The wholevessel is hot galvanized from both sides. The gas and water spaces are not separated. Therefore it isnecessary to solve regulation of the gas amount above the water surface when installing it into thesystem.On customer's request, especially where required by general aesthetic design, it is possible to supplya vessel with outer surface coated with colour varnish.

Usage:The equalizing and charging system ECOTHERM introduces considerable improvement in operation ofall conventional boilers for solid fuel (coal, wood, coke, briquettes and straw), and especially gasifica-tion boilers for wood or coal and almost absolute utilizing of the produced thermal energy. The systemcan be used for electrical heating system with directly heated boiler and to switch in this way to moreeconomical electrical energy take-off at night.Some components of the ECOTHERM system (insulated charging tanks incl. the heating of WSW(warm service water) can be used as accessories for operation of thermal pumps.

Economical contribution of the system: Thermal energy utilization higher by as much as 40%.Usage of conventional solid fuels and their saving by 35%.Considerable reduction of tar production – permanent high efficiency of the boiler, reduced risk of firein a chimney.

boiler gets immediately to optimal working temperature.Circuit 2 – the charging circuit, in which the tanks are charged by the unused part of the produced ther-

mal energy + heating of WSWCircuit 3 – the proper heating distribution with radiators, for heating residential areas by the produced

or accumulated thermal energy.

The Laddomat 21 thermoregulating element provides required and continuous interconnection of indi-vidual circuits during boiler operation.

ECOTHERM The equalizing and charging system ECOTHERM is a progressive variable system, designed for pro-tection of the operated solid fuel boiler, economical usage of produced heat and considerable reducti-on of emissions from burning.The basic elements of the system are the equalizing and charging tanks AK with insulation and the Lad-domat 21 adjusting armature.

The ECOTHERM system equalizes (balances) continuously the produced thermal energy in the placeswith following requirements:

• immediate water heating in the small circuit of the system and maintaining optimal workingtemperature in the boiler

• heat transfer into the heating system• storage of unused thermal energy into the water filling of the tanks (charging, accumulation)

The continuous regulation (equalizing) is provided by function of the Laddomat 21 thermoregulatingelement.

Size design:The proposal for optimal setting of the ECOTHERM system is made by a designer or a person with suf-ficient expertise in the designing of heating systems. Critical are thermal losses of the heated site andalso the choice of heat source (sources) by an end user.

Assembly, operation:The assembly into the system is made by a trained expert person/company. The accumulation vesselassembly must be done in compliance with ťSN 060830, in case of electrical heating according to ČSN061010. Individual outlets designation, including the thread size, is given in Fig. 1. A user can o opera-te the tank (tanks) to the maximal working temperature of 100 °C and maximal working overpressure of0.2 MPa. The accumulation tank does not require any further maintenance.

Storage:The accumulation tank must be stored in dry, sheltered area, without aggressive fumes, at temperatu-res 0 °C to +45 °C and relative humidity of the air up to 75%.

Disposal:(after the period of service life) The tank is made from fully recyclable materials.

Laddomat 21The Laddomat 21 replaces by its construction a conventional assembly consisting of individual com-ponents. It consists of the cast iron body, thermo-regulating valve, pump, swing-check valve, ball val-ves and thermometers.

• When the boiler water temperature is 78 °C, the thermo-regulating valve opens infeed from thereservoir. Benefits of the Laddomat 21 comparing to the conventional set:

– considerably easier assembly– faster and smoother regulation of the system– reduced heat loss– very simple disassembly for maintenance or service, without discharging water from

the system.

Specifications The filters are constructed for maximal working overpressure 0.6 MPa and maximal working tempera-ture o 90 °C.Coal filtering material of the upper layer is sufficient for temperatures up to 40 °C. The highest pressure gradient at the spray-nozzle bottom is 0.15 MPa. Higher pressure gradients candamage the spray-nozzle bottom. The filter is installed on the prepared support with a sump - see Fig. 3. For filter bed cleaning it isnecessary to provide the supply of clean pressure air with positivie pressure 60 to 100 kPa.Approximate flow parameters and data of the filtering bed are given in Tables I to IV. Constructionaland connection data, weights and service loads are given in Table V.Filters dimensioned 1 400 to 3 000 mm are only equipped with a swing-check valve at the air inletand a pipe coupling valve for deaeration, other fittings (closing flap valves recommended) are provi-ded by the designer. This size filters also have a blind neck DN 80 at lower section of the shell, forpossibility of flowing out the bed.Standard accessories for filters include two manometers and samplers of the raw, as well as filteredliquid. There are no spare parts in standard accessories.

Delivery and storage Sand filters are supplied in unified made, according to Fig. 1 and 2, without package. Small compo-nents and parts, which could be damaged at transport and can be dismantled, are supplied separa-tely in boxes.The supply includes also the manual for operation, service and maintenance of the filters and also acertificate of product quality and completeness. The filtering beds are not included in the filter delive-ry, so they are not supplied with the filters.

Filter bodies with welded on main piping are transported by ordinary transport means. Filter sizes areconvenient for railroad as well as road transport.Storage of the filters must be provided so, that they are protected from mechanical damage andweather conditions.

Designation and ordering The sand filters are designated by an abbreviated name with letters PF, filter diameter in mm and pro-ductNo., for example:Filter PF 2,000; 36,05019901.

The choice of the filter size and composition of the filtering bed must be made by an authorizeddesigner, based on technological calculation taking into account properties of the filter medium andthe required quality of the filtrate. The order must include number of pieces and their designation.

The filtering beds are procured by the designer of the filtering station for final deliveries and by theuser for individual deliveries.

Usage Sand filters are used in industrial and power-producing processes for filtration of cooling and processwater, for filtration of clarified water after sedimentation, for coagulating filtration and for filtering otherliquids, e.g. condensate.

Characteristics The sand filter consists of the upright cylindrical vessel with dished bottoms, standing on four pipe legs.In the bottom part of the vessel a spray-nozzle bottom is placed, designed for storage of the filter medi-um. In the shell above the spray-nozzle bottom is welded on a manhole or a handhole for internal checkof the filter and discharge of the filter medium. The manhole or handhole in the upper end plate is usedfor filling the filter with filtering bed. The filter is also equipped with external pipe-work with a manualarmature, manometers, water sampling and a loop for lowering internal water level before washing thebed. In the upper part of the shell are welded on suspension lugs for manipulation with the filter. Theinternal surface of the filter is without coating, the external surface is painted with a primer.

These are included in the pipeline of a filter plant installation. For easier handling during production andtransport the filters have hanging lugs on the sheathing.The filters are designed for a max. operating pressure of 0.6 MPa and a max. operating temperature of30°C.

Ordering informationA calculation by an expert designer must be carried out to determine the choice of DDFI size and filterlayer composition, depending on the characteristics of the filtered medium and required quality of thefiltrate.

Filter media are only supplied for the final deliveries of the devices. For piece deliveries the purchasermust provide his own media according to the technical data provided by the filter supplier.

DeliveryThe external surface of the filter is primer-coated. The final coat is not included. If a special ground coatis required this must be specified in the order. The final coat can be requested and the paint systemspecified.

The filter has a nameplate in a visible place specifying the producer, year of production, the maximumoperating pressure and a serial number.

The filters comply to the appropriate illustration. The delivery consists of the filter body with the in-builtmodule mounted, without draining arms and nozzles; standard accessories according to the specifica-tions and, for 1400 or 2000 mm filters, external connecting pipes. Spare parts are only supplied on aseparate order.

The draining grille arms and nozzles are dismounted and suitably packaged. They are mounted into thefilter after the connecting pipes are rinsed where the filter connects.

Transport and storageDDFI filters are dispatched assembled with covered openings and screwed nozzle fittings.

Application Two-layer dual filters (DDFI) are used in industrial and energy plants for cooling and clarifying water filt-ration, coagulating filtration and for removing metals from non-humate water.

DescriptionThe DDFI filter consists of a vertical pressure tank with a vaulted bottom seated on three supportingfeet and bottom inlet nozzles on the lower part. The filter bed of two types of filtration material is basedon a coarse-grained bed layer on the jet bottom. The draining grille, the horizontal arms of which deli-ver the filtrate from the entire filter surface, is located inside the filter bed. The space above the filterbed is connected to the space below the jet bottom via connecting pipes with back-pressure valves fortop-down flow only. The filter has three access holes with necks for clearing the filter media. The in-built module is mounted above the filter bed inside the filter so that washing water can be delivered viathe circumferential gutter and the washing air separated from the filtration material grains through thecone walls. DDFI filters up to a diameter of 2000 mm have manual fitting external connecting pipes aswell as sampling and measuring accessories. The DN 50 neck is inserted into the filtrate outlet pipe sothat the cleaning medium can be delivered into the sorption grille, when required by the water treat-ment equipment. Filters with a diameter of 2500 plus have an internal distributor and are supplied wit-hout control fittings or sampling and measuring accessories.

SpecificationsDeaerators are designed for usage with heating steam saturated as well as overheated. In case of over-heated steam the maximal calculation temperature must be taken into account, and the service o walltemperature of 200 °C. The maximal working overpressure of deaerators can be 0.07 MPa. The neces-sary condition for proper operation of the deaerator is to maintain constant pressure inside the deae-rator. The rate of linear pressure increase or drop should not exceed 20 kPa/min.The mixture of steam and non-condensating gases should be continuously separated during operati-on in minimal amount of 2 kg mists per 1000 kg of the degassed water. As the spraying system installed inside the deaerator has the pressure loss in range of Q and Q of minmax 40 to 300 kPa, it is necessary, that the water positive pressure at the inlet neck of the deaerator atQ is max at least 300 kPa higher than the working pressure. When the deaerator is operated at pres-sure different from Q, find in diagrams 1 and 2 the appropriate p, by which the positive pressure ofwater at the max inlet neck of the deaerator should be higher than the working pressure.The deaerator weights given in Table 1 are approximate, without the armature. The service load of thedeaerator at the pressure test is used for determination of maximal load on the foundation under thesystem of deaerator - feed water tank.When connecting the deaerator to the tank, positions of shell welds of the tank should be taken intoaccount and the strength test should be performed for proper reinforcement of the tank in place of thedeaerator connection.At assembly the proper positioning of the deaerator should be checked with respect to the requirementof maximal horizontal positions of shower dishes by basic marks, made on the external side of the dea-erator shell.

Design dataThe choice of the deaerator size is made by Table 1 and diagrams 1 to 4. The usage of deaerators forwider range of flow volumes, or for higher heating, must be negotiated separately.In some process cases it is necessary to degas circulating condensates of auxiliary devices of the cir-cuits (regenerative heatings). When designing the deaerator, it is necessary to take into account theiramount and input parameters (pressure, temperature) so that expansion of these condensates to theworking positive pressure of the deaerator does not cause its congestion.The circulating condensates are fed into the piping before the inlet to the deaerator. All operating fit-tings must be easily accessible for manipulation.The deaerator is designed for processes with requirement on the average content of oxygen in thedegassed water up to 30 mg/. (for KS 400 deaerator up to 50 mg/l, or up to 20 mg/l for deaerators KS800)The safety device is not included in accessories of the deaerators. It is usually placed at the feed watertank. Thermometers and devices for measurement and control, or other special equipment, must beordered separately and included in the design and delivery of measuring and control set.

TestingAt the manufacturer the test of welds is made by kerosene. The pressure test with water is carriedout after welding on the deaerator to the degassed water tank at the assembly site.

UsageThe KS deaerators (further only deaerators) are used for physical degassing of feed water. The purpo-se of degassing is to reduce the content of O2 and CO2 gases, especially in feed boiler water, with aim of corrosion prevention.

CharacteristicsThe deaerator is a vertical cylindrical vessel, enclosed in the upper part with a dished end plate with amanhole, where a vapour separator is installed. On the deaerator shell is a neck for water inlet and apressure-vacuum gauge. The lower cylindrical part of the deaerator is welded to the reservoir of thedegassed water. The in-built installation provides conditions for efficient separation of gases from theinlet water. The heating steam for the deaerator is fed into the degassed water tank above the maximallevel. It is possible to use saturated or superheated steam, with regard to maximal o calculating tem-perature of the deaerator wall of 20 °C. Maximal working overpressure of the deaerators can be 0.07MPa. The external surface of the deaerator is coated with primer. After entering the deaerator, the water is fed to a spraying section, where it is spread using the speci-al nozzles and goes on through the shower section. The heating steam for the deaerator is fed into thetank above the maximal water level. It is convenient, that the neck for the heating steam is as far aspossible from the deaerator and in this way the flow of steam above the feed water is supported. Thesteam can be also led into the boiling “barbotage” (vapour distribution through perforated pipes), whichis needed for gaining the remaining oxygen content below 10 mg/l of the degassed water. The “barbo-tage” is delivered on base of the order as a reservoir accessory.

The choice of appropriate deaerator size should be made on basis of expert thermal and hydraulic cal-culation by the thermal scheme, with respect to the operational regime, amount and parameters ofauxiliary devices, etc. Besides it is necessary to consider basic parameters and design data.

The order must include number of pieces and designations. If there are no technological documentsenclosed to the order, it is assumed, that the ordered size of the deaerator has been determined onbasis of an expert thermal and hydrological calculation.For determination of the deaerator size are required following basic parameters.

Designation and orderingThe IFS-D filters are designated by an abbreviated name, diameter and SUV No., for example ionexchange filter regenerated co-currently for decarbonization with 800 mm can be desiganted: FilterIFS-D 800 3606029902

The order for the IFS-D filters should include designation and parameters.

SpecificationsMaximal working overpressure is 0.6 MPa. Maximal working temperature is dependent on the type ofo service packing used, constructional material is convenient for temperatures up to 70 °C.The IFS-D filter is not a pressure vessel by ČSN 69 0010.The inflow water composition must comply with specifications of service packing supplier.The weights given in the table are only approximate. The constructional weight is meant without pac-king and rubber coat.Output of the IFS-D filters and the ion exchanger amount given in the table are only informative fordesigning. Exact values are determined by the designer.The pressure loss of the filter including the fittings, but without the service packing is approximately30 kPa, according to table outputs. Maximal admissible pressure loss between the inlet and outletpiping should not exceed, from constructional reasons, 150 kPa. The IFS-D filter should be providedwith clean air supply (oil-free) with positive pressure of 60 to 100 kPa for washing. For particular filtersizes the filter supply includes spare filtration nozzles, namely:

Also theworkmanship is checked, as well as completeness of the accessories by shipping documents.

Delivery, packing, transport and storageThe IFS-D filter supply consists of the filter body and the main connecting pipe-work, as can be seenin the figure. The assembly of the body with fittings, measuring devices and the other pipe-work ismade at the site.The IFS-D filters are supplied without package and with disassembled filtering nozzles. Small parts,which can be dismantled, are supplied separately, in boxes, appropriately designated and preserved.The preservative should be renewed every 6 months.The filters are transported by ordinary means of transport.At the storage site the filters should be prevented from mechanical damage and protected from weat-her effects.

UsageThe ion exchanger filter IFS-D is a device designed for simultaneous softening and decarbonization bya twolayer cation exchanger bed, consisting of the lower layer – strong acid cation exchanger in sodi-um form – and the upper layer – slightly acid carboxyl cation exchanger in form of free acid. The filteris recovered in two stages, first by mineral acid (HCl, H2SO4 ) and then after short washing by sodiumchloride (NaCl).

CharacteristicsThe ion exchanger filter by Fig.1 is a vertical pressure vessel made of steel of class 11, consisting of acylindrical shell enclosed by deep-dished bottoms. At the lower part, between the flanges, is installedthe spray-nozzle bottom. Outside the unit is a piping for water inlet and outlet, as well as for deaerati-on with corresponding operating armature. The regeneration solution is located in the middle of themain piping. Level lowering before regeneration is performed by means of overflow pipe made of a cor-rosion resistant material. This serves also for discharge of the depleted regeneration solution. The unitas well as the steel piping are internally treated with anti-corrosion protection coat. Water and regene-ration solution intake is fitted inside the unit with a distribution body. The upper end plate of the ionexchanger filter diam. 600 is removable using the flanged joint. The external surface of the filter is coa-ted with protection primer. The lay-out of the IFS-D filter can be “right-sided” – see Fig. 1 (the washingwater outlet, inlet of the the reclaiming agent, overflow loop and discharge are on the right) or “leftmade” (the washing water outlet, inlet of the reclaiming agent, overflow loop and discharge on the left).The filter can be assembled on requirement as the right or left made. The filter is used for decarboni-zation by twocomponent cation exchange bed. The filter has an internal in-built distribution of inletwater for acidity conditioning of the outflow water.

Specifications o Maximal working overpressure is 0.6 MPa. Maximal working temperature is 60 °C. The ionex filterwith internal regeneration is not a pressure vessel accordnig to ČSN 69 0010. The inflow water com-position must comply with specifications of the service packing supplier. The weights given in the tableare excluding packing and pneumatic armature. Data given in the table are only informative for desig-ning. Exact values are determined by the designer. The pressure loss between the inlet and outlet of water should not exceed 0.2 MPa during operation. Higher differences could damage the straining parts. The filter should be provided with clean air supply (oil-free) with positive pressure of 50 to 80 kPa forwashing. The whole range of ionex filters have fittings with pneumatic power units. Manual power unitcan be used only for sizes up to 2000 (NI.D. 150).Ionex filters are supposed to use the support layer under the ionex packing. When no support layer isused, the ionex packing should be of grain size min. 0.35 mm.

UsageIonex filters with internal regeneration are used for deionization, or demineralization of water. For thepacking of the filter ion exchanger (ionex) is used. Ion exchangers filled into the ionex filters are classi-fied as catexes (cation exchangers) and anexes (anion exchangers). The catexes in hydrogen form areused for removing cations by means of replacing them by hydrogene ions and they are recovered bymineral acids (HCl, H2SO4). The anexes in hydroxylic form are used for removal anions by replacingthem with hydroxilic ions and they are recovered with sodium hydroxide (NaOH).

CharacteristicsThe ionex filter, as shown in the figure, is a vertical pressure vessel made of steel of Class 11, consis-ting of a cylindrical shell enclosed by deep-dished bottoms, standing on three pipe legs. External sur-face of the filter is coated with primer. The filter is equipped with manholes, inspection holes, conne-ction piping with service armature (manual or automatic), sampling and measuring devices.Internal surface of the body as well as piping is provided with anticorrosive protection, for example withrubber coat. Inside the body are following parts:

a) distribution basket - at the water inlet at the upper end plateb) grate - for distribution of the reclaiming agent at the ionex levelc) straining grate - for discharge of the treated water in the lower bottom.

The filter can be manufactured either as a right modification, or as a left one, where the water, reclai-ming agent and air are led from the right and outlet of the treated water and drains into the sump areon the left.

CharacteristicsThe universal softening filter is a vertical cylindrical vessel welded from steel plates and dished bot-toms. It stands on four legs. Inside the vessel the upper and lower spray-nozzle bottom is installed. Theupper spray-nozzle bottom is protected against choking by a layer of floating inert beads. This enablessimultaneous cleaning of the ion exchange packing with water and air and when operating upwards,this installation also acts as a ionex trap. Outside the vessel is mounted the operating pipework withfittings, manometers and the device for sampling of the water before and after treatment. However, thefilters of size 3000 do not include the operating armature.The filter is assembled at the site according to requirements of a particular process. When the filter isoperated downward, it is connected by Fig. 1; for upward operation it is connected by Fig. 2. The wayof operation can be changed by simple replacing the fitting No. 2 with the blinding piece No. 11.Maximal working overpressure can be 0.6 MPa. Maximal working temperature is dependent on the typeof service packing used. The material of the filters allows working temperature up to 90 °C, the inert-packing can be used at temperatures up to 60 °C. For softening the condensates with temperaturesover o 60 °C it is necessary to use a lower ionex layer without the inert packing of floating beads.

Testing and evaluationThe tightness test of filters is made with pressurized water with positive pressure of 0.8 MPa at themanufacturer. It is recommended to repeat the pressure test at the process, after the assembly andconnection of the filter. The manufacturer's staff at the quality department check and evaluates the uni-versal softening filters by manufacturing documentation and also by PN 07 7551. Also the workmans-hip and completeness of the accessories by shipping documents are evaluated.

Delivery and storageThe filters are supplied with the piping-work and operating armature in the range by Fig. 1 and 2, wit-hout packing. Small, dismantled parts and components endangered by transport are placed in boxes.The supply also includes the manual for operation, service and maintenance of the filters. The servicepacking is not included in the supply, so it is not delivered together with the filter, as well as the arma-ture for the 3 000 mm filter.Storage of the filters at the assembly site must comply with requirements for protection against mecha-nical damage and weather conditions. The priming coat on the filters must be renewed after longer sto-rage.

Designation and orderingThe universal softening filters are designated with an abbreviated name and letters UZF, filter diameterin mm and JKPOV No., for example: Filter UZF 1000 3606079903

The order of universal softening filters must include number of pieces and designation by the abovementioned pattern.

Other service of the supplierThe supplier provides the first service packing for the final supplies of universal softening filters, per-forms the assembly and commissioning of the equipment. On user's request, spare sets of filteringspray-nozzles for particular filter sizes can be supplied.

UsageUniversal softening filters are designed for water softening with cation exchanger in sodium form, or forneutral decarbonization. The treated water can flow either downward (condensate softening, anionexchanger and at neutral decarbonization), or upward when softening the additional water (counter-current way). For softening with cation exchanger the upward operation is recommended, as it resultsin saving of the reclaiming agent. The ionex packing regeneration is performed always as a downwardoperation.

Designation:The type and modification of the tank are designated with letters as follows:

H – horizontal tankHG – horizontal tank rubber coatedV – vertical tankVG – vertical tank rubber coated

After this alphabetical designation follows the tank volume in m3 and the number after the virgule givesthe pressure in MPa, multiplied by 10.Example of the designation: Horizontal tank in steel modification for feed water with nominal volume 10 m3 and working positive pressure max. 0.6 MPa is designated: TANK H 10/6.

Testing:The tanks with working positive pressure of max. 60 kPa are subject only to the tightness test. For thetanks with higher working positive pressure the official pressure test is carried out.

For the tanks delivered in parts, or assembly of which is completed at the site, the manufacturer per-forms only the tightness test of welds and the pressure test is made at the site.

Inspection and delivery:Inspection of the tank is carried out by the inspection body at the manufacturer. In case the assemblyof the tank is made by the manufacturer, the tank is inspected at the assembly site.

The inspection checks the workmanship of the tank by external inspection of all parts accessible wit-hout dismantling and further the workmanship and completeness of accessories by shipping docu-ments.

The tanks are shipped freely laid. Small dismantled parts are shipped in boxes with the list of compo-nents placed in them.

The tank supply includes documentation. In case the tank passed through the official pressure test, itis supplied with a revision book.

Usage:The tanks are used especially in boiler processes for storage of feeding water, condensate and demi-neralized water and/or various chemical solutions. The way of storage of the liquid, its working pres-sure and temperature is decisive for choice of the type and made of a tank and its internal surface pro-tection.

Description:The tanks are of a cylindrical shape, enclosed with shaped end plates. They are provided with one ortwo manholes for checking the inside. According to the way of mounting the tank can be of vertical orhorizontal type. The basic outfit of all tanks includes one neck or chock for discharging and one neckor chock for air inlet (neck PN 16, chocks PN 10).

Standard accessories are different for different types and modifications of the tanks, as is givenbelow. Other required outfit (service necks, heating unit, etc.) should be specified separately.

Modification:The tanks are classified by the type of the stored liquid:

– Steel tanks – protected by means of internal preservation for transport– Rubber coated tanks – by ČSN 69 0110 (instead of rubber coat also another type of internal

protection can be agreed).

All the tanks are externally painted with primer.

Testing and evaluationEach manufactured vessel is tested at the manufacturer with pressure water by ČSN 69 0010. The cer-tificate of the pressure test performed is included in the pressure vessel passport.

Delivery and storageVertical pressure vessels are supplied in a welded form, without package. Standard accessories aresupplied packed in boxes. The supply includes the manual for operation, service and maintenance.Standard accessories of the vessels consist of a manometer with a valve, loop and sealing, thermo-meters for air chambers, anchor bolts, service necks, level indicators for expanders 1 and for air cham-bers 1 or 2. The safety valve is supplied on requirement of the design (order) and is not included in thevessel price, also expansion chambers for expanders are not included in the price of the vessel. Thereare no spare parts of the first outfit and for several years of operation. In case of damage to the mano-meter, thermometer or level indicator the user will procure the damaged part at the manufacturerhimself.The vertical pressure vessels must be stored in such a way, that no mechanical damage occurs andthey are protected against weather conditions. After longer storage it is necessary to renew their paint,if needed.

Designation and orderingThe vertical pressure vessels are designated by an abbreviated name, nominal volume in m and nomi-nal positive pressure by Table 1, then with product number, for example:

UsageVertical pressure vessels are used for various service needs, mainly as reservoirs of pressure air – airchambers, as reservoirs of pressure water or as expansion vessels for equalizing volumes of hot waterstations with air or steam cushion - called air chambers, or as releasers – called expanders.(With sources of max. pressure 4 MPa are used releasers by PN 07 7436).

CharacteristicsVertical pressure vessels consist of a cylindrical shell and dished end plates. They are placed on threewelded-on legs.For air chambers and expanders in Fig. 2 and 3 are not defined the neck sizes, manometer range andsafety valve (its necessity according to the dept. of process safety) and their location and range mustbe determined.The vessels are not designed for aggressive media. Their internal surface is paint-free; only the airchambers apart from the size 1 m3, where are two hand-holes instead of a manhole, are internally coa-ted with the preservative paint. Exteriors of the vessels are painted with primer.Maximal working overpressures and temperatures for particular pressure series are given in Table 1.The pressure vessels are subject to technical rules by ČSN 69 0010.Dimensions of the pressure vessels are given in separate figures, recommended building works forpositioning and anchoring of vessels by supplied anchor bolts are given in Table II.The vessels are made of the steel Class 11 with warranted weldability, the pressure parts material isapproved by the metallurgical certificate.

SpecificationsThe tanks are of a pressure-free made, the cover of the G tank is gas-tight fixed to the shell, to preventleakage of chemical vapours into the operator's space. The tank venting outside the building is not inc-luded in the tank supply, however, it is recommended to connect it through a siphon trap to the overf-low neck (in case of fuming acids).Possible additional devices - the dissolving basket or bag tippler - are connected to the orifice of thetank cover closure. The pressure distribution at the G tanks is connected to the air neck counterflangeon the tank cover.

Designation and orderingThe tanks for chemical solutions are designated by the name according to the table in page 13, nomi-nal 3 volume and branch number. For example the steel tank with volume 1.6 m for CaO mixing isdesignated:

An order for the tank should include number of pieces, designation and required additional devices (seethe legend under Tables 2 to 7) and the chemical solution characteristics (solution species, concentrati-on, temperature).

TestingAll tanks are tested at the manufacturer for weld tightness. For rubber-coated tanks the quality of rub-ber coat is checked by an electric spark at the manufacturer of the rubber coat. For the tanks with astirring device the stirring test is performed. Also all the tanks are checked for workmanship by anexternal inspection of parts accessible without disassembly and completeness of accessories by theshipping documents.

Delivery and storageThe tanks are supplied without packing, freely loaded. Small dismantled parts are supplied separately,stocked in boxes.The tanks for chemical solutions must be stored in a way, which prevents them from mechanical damage.

Usage The tanks for chemical solutions are designed especially for preparation and measurement of reclai-ming agents, they can be used, however, also for storage of chemical solutions, etc.The tanks in standard made cannot be used for sulphuric acid. By combination of required accessori-es, such as a dissolving basket, bag tippler, device for mechanical stirring, heating element or pressu-re air distribution it is possible to adjust the tanks for various usage.

CharacteristicsThe tanks for chemical solutions by Fig. 1 to 7 are made as pressure-free, cylindrical vessels, with a flat3 end plate on the top, which is for all sizes, apart from 0.4 m, fix welded to the shell. The tanks in steelmade (Fig. 1 to 4) are internally painted with preservative coat. The tanks in Fig. 5 to 7 are internallyrubber coated with gas-tight made with a flat removable cover. From the outside all the tanks are pain-ted with primer.Standard accessories can be seen in Fig. 1 to 7 and in the legends under the tables. The connectingflanges are of Nt 10. The defined accessories and locations cannot be changed. Possible amendmentsare stated under the Tables 2 to 7.Each tank is permanently labelled at a visible place with a factory plate indicating the manufacturer,product number, year of production and volume of the tank in litres.

Characteristics: Principal parts of the device for magnetic treatment of water are permanent magnets, mounted in thecylindrical body. The magnets together with the body form a magnetic circuit with through-flow gap,with strong magnetic field inside. Externally the device manifests itself as magnetic.The external connection parts are made for standard threaded or flanged connection by the figures.The devices with threaded connection are for maximal working positive pressure of 1 MPa. Maximalworking temperature for both types of devices is 100 °C.

Testing and evaluation:The manufactured devices are not tested individually at the manufacturer. The engineering inspectiondepartment checks and evaluates workmanship and completeness of the device by the documentation.

Delivery and storage:The devices with treaded connection are delivered in separate packing. The devices with flanged con-nections are supplied without packing. The supply includes also the assembly and operational manu-al. The devices for magnetic treatment of water are stored in enclosed areas, protected against humi-dity.

Designation and ordering:The device for water treatment is designated with an abbreviated name, type and ordering number. Theorder for the device for magnetic water treatment should include number of pieces.

Other service of the supplier:In case the assembly and operational conditions are kept during the first year of the device operationand substantial reduction of scale formation does not occur, the manufacturer buys back the devicefrom the user.

Usage: The magnetic treatment is performed by flow of water through magnetic field at certain speed. In thisway the scale is formed in several-fold smaller amount, or its formation is completely stopped. Sub-stances diluted in water are precipitated in form of small crystalline or amorphous sludge, that can beflushed out, blown out or easily removed in another way. Chemical composition is not affected by mag-netic treatment of water.The device for magnetic treatment of water does not need for operation electrical energy or chemicalagents, neither it requires service and maintenance, it works without operational cost.

Usage:Air tanks are designed as reservoirs of pressure air in all places, where its storage is required. The offe-re series has been developed mainly as air tanks for brake systems of road vehicles. However, thanksto its constructional design, the air tanks can be also used for other applications. Connected directlyto the compressor, modified for easy manipulation, they represent an all-purpose device in repairshops, paint shops, etc. On agreement with the customer it is possible to supply the air tank equippedwith special necks or flanges, and/or to complement the air tank with special elements for its fixture,by the customer's request. Standard air tanks supplied are designed for pressures up to 0.8 MPa.

Construction:The air tank is a pressure vessel welded from plates, enclosed with dished end plates. In case of doub-lespace air tank, the internal space is divided into two parts by an inserted dished inter-plate. The airtank is equipped with appropriate number of connecting and desludging necks according to the dimen-sional standard and based on particular agreement with a customer. The necks are supplied with stan-dard internal thread M 22x1.5 6H. The air tank is also equipped with a welded-on plate indicating volu-me, pressure and other data, as required by the standard.

Delivery:Air tanks can be supplied in made with primer or with powder paint coat. The painting is made fromo outside as well as inside of the vessel. Storage: in dry, covered areas at temperatures 0 °C to +45 °C,free from caustic fumes.
