Attached are DepEd Natio.nal and Regional Memorandum, re: Festival of Talents (Technolympics) Guidelines and Updates for your reference.

Anent to this, you are hereby advised to attend the Division Level Festival of Talents tagged as Technolympics for EPPjTLEjTech-Voc on November 30,2012 (8:00-5:00 PM) at Palma Gil Elementary School, Quirino St., Davao City. Coaches briefing and pre-registration will be on November 28,2012 ( 1:00 PM) in the same venue.

The travel of participants is on Official Business. As approved during the Coordinators Meeting, the registration fee for each participating secondary school is Five Hundred Pesos (P 500.00) that includes teacher observers plus One Hundred Pesos (P100.00) for each student-contestant while in the elementary is One Thousand Pesos (P1,OOO.00) per district to be spent for Judges honorarium and other incidental expenses chargeable against Canteen/STEP funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

One day service credit shall be granted considering that the said competition falls on a holiday.

4. Prizes nd Awards

4.1 The record holders and the trainers shall be awarded Certificates of Recognition and Participation.

4.2 Trophies/ Medals and a Certificate of Merit will be awarded to the top three record holders.

4.3 For purposes of determining the top five ver-all natio al record holders, the rank system shall be followed.

4.4 The folloWing Trophies shall be awarded to the top five over-all national record holders: .

2.4.4 The tabulation committee members, who are SSE Specialists, shall review the computatio and ranking made by the judges. The participant with the highest total number of points shall be dedared the National Record Holder.

2.4.5 The final results shall be reviewed by the members of the Board of Judges before affixing eir signatures in the summary sheet.

2.4.6 In case of a tie, triple tie or a quadruple tie, the participant who finished first will be declared as the "champion".

2.4.7 The decision of the Board of judges is finaJ a d irr ocable.

2.5 Mechanics for Judging the Bazaar Exhibits (Mo nterprising Award)

3.2 Event Procedure

2.1.1 The 2013 National Technolympics shall be participated in by bonafide students enrolled In public (General r TechVoc) or private high schools during the school year 2012-2013;

2.1.2 The school principal shall certify that the students are enrolled in the field of specialization where they are pa i "pating;

2.1.3 TLE teachers must submit the lIowing documen : • Certification (using the template found i enclosure no. 2)

from the principal that the teacher is rrently employed whether local or national; and

• Certification (using the template found in endosure no. 3) from the principal regarding the teacher's designation as the adviser of the student-partidpant.

2.2 Skills Exhibition

The region shall identify the participants per event as specified in the event packages.

2.2.1 Participant may only join in one event. 2.2.2 There shall be eight individual and five team (of two members)

events.

2.3 Bazaar

2.3.1 All participating regions are required to display their best products and performances before the opening program. However, the region will choose only one entry for each product and service to participate in the search for the most enterprising award (see Enclosure No.4). Each region shall assign two TLE/TVE students ho are not participating in the skills exhibition to market their products/performances Within the exhibit booth area.

2.3.2 All items in the exhibit area must be offered for sale. 2.3.3 All products/performances offered/displayed in the Bazaar are

produced/rendered by the TLE or 1VE students as certified by the school head.

2.3.4 The points earned/rank in the Bazaar Exhibit shall be part of the over-all National Record Holders.

2.4 Mechanics of Judging - Skills Exhibition

2.4.1 The products and performances of participants in all events shall be ju ged by three members of the Board of Judges composed of experts, practitioners, service providers or professionals.

2.4.2 Judges will use the prepared score sheets for both products and perfo ances. Points given to each of the participants shall be added by each member of the Jury.

2.4.3 The total scores of each partidpant shall be ranked with the highest total number of points as rank one, (Endosure No.4).

Revised Implementing Guidelines for the 2013 Skills xhibition NATIONAL TECHNOLYMPICS

I. Participan

1. The 2013 National Technolympics will show se marketable pr ducts and performances in the different skills acquired by the dents in the various specializations of Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) and Technical Vocational Education (TVE)o This is open to all high sc 001 students enrolled in both public and private high schools all over the Philippines.
