PROFESSIONAL : Member of the Council of Architects, QUALIFICATIONS New Delhi. Fellow, Indian Institute of Registered Architects PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE : Established Architectural Practice in Bombay,

in the name of I.M. Kadri from 1960, and in the name of Kadri Consultants Pvt Ltd., from 1971.

SPECIAL PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS : Actively involved for more than a decade in

finding solutions for the housing problems of Bombay :

Has been focusing on three aspects of the

problem a) Housing problem of slum dwellers b) Problems of rebuilding dilapidated buildings c) Exploring technological solutions for mass

housing schemes Member of Steering Committee appointed by

the Government of Maharashtra to suggest strategies of solving the slum problem of Bombay. The Committee made exhaustive studies of the problem and in 1981 published a definitive report on the strategies to solve the problems of slum dwellers in Bombay.

Two Cardiac and one Orthopedic theatre. The theatres have very sophisticated features, using precision control and clean room specification air-conditioning systems, electronic alarm systems for filter monitoring and computerized controls with temperature and relative humidity at 20o ± 2o and RH 55 capability, seamless jointless epoxy flooring and polyurethane wall finish and stainless steel ceiling, automated scrubs etc. This project was designed and commissioned in a record time of 90 days. To design a holiday resort consisting of Hotels, Studios and One Bedroom Apartments. Total built-up area is approx. 1,25,000 Sq.Ft. Estimated cost of the Project Rs. 37.50 crores.

7 PROPOSED BUSINESS HOTEL AT JAIPUR FOR SURJEET HOTELS PVT LTD:

To design a 100 room hotel at Jaipur. Total built-up area is approx. 80,000 Sq.Ft. Estimated cost of the Project is Rs. 30.0 crores.

8 PROPOSED RESORT AT LONAVALA FOR LA FAMILLE HOTEL & RESORTS PVT LTD :

To design a Resort consisting of Cottages, Deluxe Suites, Public areas, Restaurants, Conference Hall, Holiday Activity Centre, Utility Block, Kitchen & Stores etc., at Lonavala. Total built up area is approx. 1,00,000 Sq.Ft. Estimated cost of the Project Rs. 25.0 crores.

INSTITUTIONS :

1. MAULANA AZAD EDUCATION SOCIETY - AURANGABAD : In an area of old mogul ruins this modern amenity was added to merge with the

existing surroundings and architecture. Mr. Khushwant Singh, Editor of "The Illustrated Weekly" in his article on the Project described - "It had been a private residence, a court house, barracks and even stabled horses and mules. Then it was given a second lease. A Trust acquired this place and converted it into a College. The old buildings were retained - the new were designed by Mr. I.M. Kadri to harmonize picturesquely medieval setting. It is more beautiful than anything I have seen in Oxford or Cambridge or anywhere else in the World". Cost of the Project Rs. 0.20 crores.

2. HAPPY HOME AND SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND - BOMBAY : Designed space for sightless children taking into consideration their ease of

movement and physical safety. The cost of the Project Rs. 0.20 crores. 3. FELLOWSHIP OF THE PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED -BOMBAY :

Designed and supervised building of ground and eight upper floors for the

Fellowship of the Physically Handicapped to house the activities of the physically handicapped and Training Centre. The foundation stone was laid by late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1961. Cost of the Project Rs. 0.10 crores.

4. BUILDING FOR THE INDIAN NAVY - BOMBAY : (i) Designed Widows' Home known as the Naval Memorial Hostel to house

the widows' of sailors who died in the year 1971 war. (ii) Cornwallis Fleet Canteen - A Shopping Centre exclusively for the Indian

Naval Service Personnel, built in Colaba, Bombay. 5. BAITUL HUJJAJ FOR HAJ COMMITTEE - BOMBAY : A transitory accommodation for pilgrims going to Haj. An accommodation for

1500 Hajis including facilities for their banking, Visas, shipping formalities, medical check-ups etc., including an auditorium, library, meeting hall and area for large congregation. To be built at a cost of Rs. 7.0 crores.

6. NEHRU CENTRE - BOMBAY : A centre - to promote the teachings and ideals of late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

A complex to house scientific and educational activities, primarily for children and students, consisting of Planetarium - Auditorium for 1000 persons, experimental theatre, multi-storied structure to house art galleries, library, research centres and other activities of Nehru Centre. Cost of the project Rs. 10.0 crores.

7. OTTERS CLUB - BOMBAY : Suburban Club House which provides exclusive facilities for aquatic activities,

built almost in the area curtained off from the road by a stone screen - solids and voids that provide dramatic effect with lights. Cost of the Project Rs. 0.50 crores.

8. NEW MLA HOSTEL FOR GOVERNMENT OF MAHARASHTRA : “New MLA Hostel” – a multi-storeyed building consisting four multi-storeyed

towers with 336 MLA suites (ground plus 15 upper floors) and Dining Hall and lounge on Ground Floor on Plot Nos. 152, 153, 174, 175 and additional area on Plot No. 151B of Block III of BBRS, Mumbai for Public Works Department, Government of Maharashtra. Cost of the Project Rs. 17.0 crores.

9. NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE BLIND - BOMBAY : 3 storeyed buildings for Talking-Book-Studio and Press Building for Blind

persons. Cost of the Project Rs. 0.90 crores. 10. CAMPUS FOR WATER & LAND MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE

AURANGABAD : Main Institute Building, Laboratories, Community Centre, Housing Complex.

13. NATIONAL JUDICIAL ACADEMY AT BHOPAL, MADHYA PRADESH FOR

SUPREME COURT OF INDIA : The project consists of a training center, library complex, offices for executives,

administrative offices, residential facilities and the requisite engineering & other services. The total built up area will be approximately 28,000 square meters. Estimated Cost Rs. 75.0 crores.

14. TATA KISAN KENDRA (40 NOS.) :

The Kendra is designed to educate Kisans and train them in Kisan Kendra for

right use of urea in their available field at various places in U.P. and in Punjab. Estimated Cost Rs. 2.0 crores for each Kendra.

15. SONA COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY AT SALEM (PHASE-I) :
