Happy Holidays As a the year draws to close I tend to get a little emotional. My daughters have completed another year at school. A little extra sad this year as there are no Christmas concerts to attend as both my daughters are now in high school. How I will miss those end of year celebrations. Hopefully this year we can get to the Carols by Candlelight at the domain to help bring on the Christmas cheer. This year I have seen myself grow so much online and develop into doing what I love and enjoy most. Those who know me understand that I love to help promote and feature online businesses, especially children’s boutiques and handmade. There is a huge market out there and I have seen so many develop and grow to be so successful which is so great to see all the stay at home Mum’s and Dad’s get into the online world which is only going to get bigger and bigger. Oh how I wish all these fabulous boutiques where around when my daughters were little I would have had a ball.

As 2011 is nearly over I would like to thank all of you for taking the time to read, advertise and support me in all that I do. Thank you for a wonderful year. I appreciate every single one of you and love bringing JUNIOR EPITOME alive for all of you to enjoy and shop from home.

Handmade gorgeousness from Myrtle & Grace

A fun alternative to a traditional tree is to outline one in nails on a board, then run string or wool around the shape and decorate it with these spiced cookies. Full of Christmas flavours – cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice – and sparkling with a dusting of sugar, they make a delicious change from the usual decorations. !

Donna Hay - Vanilla Snap Biscuits!185g butter

1 cup caster sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups plain flour 1 egg

1 egg yolk, extra icing sugar to serve

Preheat the oven to 180C. Process the butter, sugar and vanilla in a food processor until smooth. Add the flour, egg and egg yolk and process again to form a smooth dough. Knead the dough lightly, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough between sheets of non-stick baking paper until 5mm thick. Cut the dough into shapes using cookie cutters. Place on baking trays lined with non-stick baking paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden. Cool on wire racks.

To serve, dust with icing sugar. Makes 45.

Paper Bag Wreath

You will need : Cardboard Paper bag

Water based acrylic paint Scissors Tape

Craft project from Giddy Giddy found on…

Instructions: Step 1: Cut a circle wreath out of cardboard and paint if desired. Step 2: Now paint paper bags with various colors / let dry / cut strips in various desired widths. Step 3: Place strip on wreath, making sure to bow it out so that that an arc is formed by the paper. Tape it in place on the underside of the wreath. Step 4: Repeat this process until you cover the entire wreath. Step 5: Now your wreath is almost done; You can add a personal touch by adorning it with paper flower, paper ribbons, buttons, or a written message. Also great for a holiday activity to make for birthdays or other celebrations.
