For over 30 years, BARBARA REYNOLDS was a beloved employee of the Patchogue-Medford Library, before retiring in 2010. She worked her way up from page to library clerk, and eventually became the Head of the Circulation Department in 2002. In 2003, she earned the Employee of the Year Award. After her retirement, she decided to give back to the community by serving as a member of the Board of Trustees from 2011-2016. Barbara played an integral role in saving the Carnegie Library and worked tirelessly on the plans for the relocation and restoration of the building. When the Children’s Room suffered a ood, Barbara was an important part of the team that had the vision and diligence to turn a major setback into an opportunity to improve and create a more welcoming environment for the community. We will miss Barbara’s compassionate and thoughtful approach on the Board and wish her well in all her future endeavors.
