Fast FACTS: ARTS EDUCATION We provide programming in art, dance and theater for ages 2 1 /2 to adult. Year round. 6 days a week. Jackson School of the Arts is the largest provider of arts programming in Jackson County. 145 different classes and programs run all year long 570 students enrolled in long term (16-32 week programs) FUTURE GOALS • Increase financial resources to support growth and sustainability. •Develop and enhance human (staff and volunteer) resources to support continued quality programming •Establish an endowment •Find a new facility that accommodates our growth. THE “GO TO” PLACE FOR ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAMS. We create and deliver custom arts education programming for other organizations including preschools, public, charter schools and home school associations, Jackson District Library, YMCA Storer Camps, Lifeways, senior centers, Girl Scouts. WE ARE THE ARTS ORGANIZATION THAT: • bases class fees on income and family size and offers additional scholarships for children who live in poverty. • keeps programs costs low for families by providing dance and theater costumes through rentals instead of purchase ($15 fee instead of $75) and setting tickets low at $5-6 instead of $15-$20 • is a vibrant place of diversity and inclusion Here's What it Takes... to make Jackson School of the Arts an organization of excellence. OUR LOCATION We rent space in the ART 634 building where we have 4 dance studios, a theater, a dance store and an art studio.
