IndividualityWith the various fun fashion which so many different people are wearing cur-rently, we thought we’d go on the hunt for extreme individuality. We found Bo-nita, who believes that ‘trends are bor-ing, I’d much rather be a walking piece of art’.The summer months are quickly approaching, our coats and boots are being put to the back of our ward-robes and those summery colours are once again be-ing paraded for all to see.Bonita Perry, 22, from Bir-mingham loves a bit colour, so much so she’s painted herself like a rainbow! “I love individuality. I can’t stand following the trend or the ‘norm’ I like to stand out in a crowd. Sure, I get disap-proving looks, but I like the way I look, and I definitely don’t regret any of my tat-toos, they make me who I am and they’ve given me the confidence to get out of my comfort zone”.Bonita rocks the bright coloured clothes and often blends into her mad dresses.Bonita talks of how shes been compared to the American tattoo artist, Kat Von D who is renowned for her tattoos and her tattooing show, ‘LA Ink’ where Bonita would love to visit one day. Bonita buys the majority of her clothes from what she calls

‘quirky’ outlets such as Blue Banana, “I love the indi-vidual-ity of the clothes there and I will nev-er clash outfits with my friends”.That in-dividual stament piece is key to anyones

Alex Sumner is one to watch out for in the coming monthsAlex Sumner, a 19 year old singer from Sutton Coldfield is hoping to break through to the public eye after her album is released this com-ing November. Currently working as a vi-sual merchandiser, Alex has always dreamed of pursuing her passion off singing. Alex was spotted during a kara-oke night at her local pub,

The Kings Arms where she regularly sings for her local fans. Paul Snook spotted her who is now producing her album at Blue 46 Studios in Coleshill. Alex’s success is growing rapidly with exciting pros-pects lying ahead.

It’s mad how every-thing’s com-ing together after years of

dreaming.

The first completed song ‘Hate and Lies’ is currently circulating Facebook with an-other 3 songs due to be sent onto iTunes in the next few months where people will be paying to listen.I idolise Lady GaGa,

she’s amazing.Alex tells us, “I have a few meetings set up in July in New York at Nighthall Studios, I’ve been told that Road Runner are possibly interested in signing me, which is all very exciting. It’s mad how everythings suddenly all coming together

after years of dreaming! I’d one day love to be as amazing as Lady GaGa. She’s definitely my idol”.Alex wrote all of the lyrics on her up coming album, which is yet to have a title, but she tells us, “the lyrics are all related to life experi-ences and real feelings. I wanted to write all of the songs to show that I can do it. I’m very proud of what I’ve produced and I’m looking forward to the next chapter of my book”.Alex’s album will be re-leased in November how-ever, keep your eyes peeled on iTunes for a sneak pre-view of what’s to be ex-pected. Beach Break Lives’ 5thAnniversary Extravaganza- An Experience Not To MissWith festival season quickly approaching, we thought we’d get the low- down on what’s to be expected from the 5th Anniversary of Beach Break Live in June!

With the success of the past four years at Beach Break Live, will the 5th Anniversary top it all?Last years Beach Break saw the festival take its loca-tion to Pembry Park in South Wales. The location was such a hit with the festival go-ers that this year, the fun will be situated in the same location again this coming June. With the likes of Tinie Tempah, White Lies and Magnetic Man headlining the three day festival this summer, it will be sure to be a huge success for the at-tendees.

The headliners will be joined by Example, Professor Green, Katy B, We AreScientists, Newton Faulkner, Ed Sheeran, Magnetic Man and BBC Radio One’s very own Zane Lowe, along with plenty of more big names joining in on the fun.We caught up with the organisers of Beach Break Live to see what they ex-pect from their 5th Anniver-sary and its clear that the fun doesn’t stop at just the music. This year the festival has introduced new sporting activities for daytime fun, including Kite-flying, Snow-boarding & Skiing and

Wakeboarding lessons all situated on locations nearby the designated festival area.Unlike the big festivals such as Reading and Leeds, Beach Break Live is priced at just £99 a ticket and the food and beverages on site are all reasonably priced as their festival is aimed at stu-dents with only a select few

at an affordable price and with a twist, that twist being that the festival would have a beach as the setting. The team managed to have the opportunity to be featured on the BBC’s programme, Dragons Den which then led them to have a meet-ing with the UK’s leading Student Travel and Event specialists, Outgoing Travel. With many meetings, late night organising and gather-ing together such an amaz-ing team, Beach Break Live was created with the spon-sorship gained from Dell.

are happy to have the festival again as long as the grounds are respected this year. Last year saw the locals of Pembry complain about the vast amount of rubbish left over and the grass destroyed by BBQ’s and general wear and tear. This year however, the or-ganisers have put new rules into place in order to not receive any bad press at the end of the festival. “We are going to be distributing more big bags to the festi-val go-ers and more people have been hired to help clean up at the end of the festival”. With these intact
