Conclusions

• From surveying this class, we were able to better understand what we think the Zumba culture is.

• Stress is relieved when taking the class• It is understood that not just one Zumba

class can give all the insight for classes all over the country, it does give some valuable information as it pertains to the Zumba culture in our community here on campus.

Recommendations-space provided could be a bit more spacious and ready for a larger number of participants to attend.

-advertise at popular night clubs (Indigo, Levels, Duo) because of Zumba’s ‘Party’ feeling of a fitness class

-The white building should advertise a ‘bring a friend’ night in which an existing class participant can bring a friend with them to the class

Recommendations continued…

• target more sophomore and freshman participation

-housing dormitories for freshman should have flyers and informational papers on each floor to encourage the young person to join a class

• class should evoke multiple styles of music

• classes could be different themes• instructor given surveys
