Iyengar Yoga Convention with Abhijata Sridhar Iyengar

Thursday 24 through to Sunday 27 May 2018 - AmsterdamAbhijata Sridhar Iyengar is the granddaughter of Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar. Abhijata started studying yoga at the age of sixteen with Guruij, Geeta S. Iyengar en Prashant Iyengar. Abhijata travelled with Guruji to Russia & China, assisting him at conventions.

Further she assisted Geeta in several conventions and in the last few years she has been teaching conventions held in France, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. Abhijata’s classes are energetic, clear and remarkably calm. In her teaching, Abhijata combines detailed instructions in the asana with a great

knowledge of yoga philosophy. And of course, some anecdotes about Guruij as well. Abhijata holds a Masters degree in Bioinformatica from the University of Pune. As a Senior yoga teacher Abhijata teaches at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) in Pune, India.

The exhibition is open throughout all the 4 days. Fee The convention is open for practitioners with a minimum of 3 years Iyengar yoga practice. The convention can only be booked for the full 4 days. The fee for the convention is € 350,- for members and € 400,- if you are not a member of any Iyengar yoga association.

All amounts are incl. 6% VAT. Lunch, soup, water, tea, coffee are included in the ticket price. Every participant receives a special “Centennial” Pune blanket as a memory of the convention. Registration and payment The workshop can only be booked via the webshop. Closing date for signing up is May 1st, 2018. Registration is only definite after payment is received. Placement in order of registration with priority for participants form The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, UK and Switzerland. Cancellation Cancellation within 14 days of payment: you will get a 100% restitution, only if you fill in and sign the Formulier van Herroeping. Cancellation after 14 days: in exceptional cases restitution of 50% is possible until April 1st, 2018. Contact the treasurer and describe the reason for cancellation. The board will decide. Practice material Bring 1 mat, 2 blankets, 2 belts and 2 blocks. Props can be hired or bought at the convention, see the website for more information..
