How to Get HereDirections to the College and a campus map are available atwww.ithaca.edu/about. If you’d like a printed campus map,which also includes driving directions, contact the alumnirelations office.

ParkingOn weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., visitorsshould park in the visitor parking lot. Other lots require apermit. Alumni Association Board of Directors The Ithaca College Alumni Association Board of Directorsworks in partnership with the Office of Alumni Relations onalumni issues and programming, including Alumni andHomecoming Weekend, admission activities, career serv-ices, development, and social events. Directors may serve up to two consecutive terms of threeyears each. They’re expected to be strong leaders who arewilling to devote time, energy, and financial resources toIthaca College. If you know someone who would like to getinvolved with the alumni association board—including your-self—you can nominate him or her using the online nomina-tion form at www.ithaca.edu/alumni/association/directors_nomination.php. Nominations may be submittedyear-round. The annual deadline for nominations is October 1.

Edgar “Dusty” Bredbenner Jr. ’50 Distinguished Alumni AwardAwarded to graduates who have demonstrated outstand-ing loyalty and service to Ithaca College over a long period,this is the highest award the alumni association presents.

James J. Whalen Meritorious Service AwardNamed for Ithaca College’s sixth president, this awardrecognizes nonalumni for their distinguished contribu-tions (professional, civic, or philanthropic) to the College.

Outstanding Young Alumni AwardThis award is given to alumni who have graduated in thepast 2–10 years and who are excelling in their professions.All recipients have been recognized as emerging leadersin their fields.

Professional Achievement AwardThis award recognizes graduates who have achievednational, regional, or local distinction in their professions;who acknowledge the importance of their Ithaca Collegeeducation in reaching their career goals; and who havedemonstrated long-standing loyalty to the College.

Volunteer Service AwardGiven to alumni and nonalumni, this award acknowledgesthose who have contributed significantly to the College inone or more of the following areas: admission, careerservices, student affairs, regional activities, fund-raising,and athletics. Alumni and Homecoming WeekendFall 2009 will mark the first time Ithaca College will host acombined Alumni and Homecoming Weekend, and we wel-come all IC alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, and stu-dents to join us. In addition to the traditional Homecomingevents—the pep rally and bonfire, the football game, and theathletic hall of fame induction ceremony and dinner—we willhold special celebrations for all traditional reunions (5th,10th, 15th . . . 40th, 45th) as well as for campus affinitygroups (student organizations, athletic teams, etc.). Otherhighlights include a pregame picnic, the alumni awards din-ner, musical entertainment, and theatrical performances.And since the College is in session, this is a perfect opportu-nity to reconnect with your favorite faculty and staff. Come back to catch up with old friends (and make somenew ones), recapture fond memories, and revisit Ithaca in itsfall splendor. Alumni and Homecoming WeekendFall 2009 will mark the first time Ithaca College will host acombined Alumni and Homecoming Weekend, and we wel-come all IC alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff, and stu-dents to join us.
