ITC SUMMER INTERNSHIP 2019 Updated on 2019-Mar-13 All full-time BA degree non-final year students in the academic year 2018/19 are invited to apply for our Summer Internship Programme. Successful applicants will work for a company in the fashion and textiles industry for a minimum of 7 weeks on a full-time basis during the summer period. The summer internship experience can be counted towards WIE and also one of the following credit-bearing subjects:

• Professional Attachment (ITC3221G) • Industrial Practice (ITC3023I)

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION CRITERIA

• Full-time BA degree non-final year students in the academic year 2018/19 (some openings are for year 3 students only);

• Attended at least four training and workshops organised by CAPS/FAST/ITC; and • Interview performance (language proficiency, communication skill, attitude, overall assessment).

Remarks:

• All applications should be submitted online by the deadline. NO LATE SUBMISSION WILL BE ENTERTAINED.

• Students can choose to apply internships from List A and/or List B. • Students (all non-final year) can apply maximum 3 internships from List B in order of

preferences; • For List A, there is no maximum limit and students can choose to apply all internships they are

interested in List A.

• Internship applications for lists A and B will be separately assessed. Student should only confirm one offer if they receive multiple offers from lists A and B companies.

• Sem 2 exchange-out students can also apply for summer internship, and skype interview may be arranged.

• Applicants may be invited for internal screening interview as well as company interviews. Applicants must attend the scheduled selection interview.

SCHOLARSHIPS & ALLOWANCE The following sponsorships are available for students’ application:

1. Offshore Work-Integrated Education Sponsorship (OWS) (For non-local internships only, subject to endorsement by programme leader and CAPS)

The sponsorships are meant to cover part of the expenses incurred by the internship such as passage, accommodation and other incidental expenses. The amount of sponsorship for each student will vary according to destination. The sponsorship will be transferred to students’ bank accounts in around November or December 2019 if the application is successful.
