Islam began with the first man, Adam. Adam  submitted him-self to God. Therefore, the word “Islam” came when he submit-ted himself to God. Islam simply means submission to God. The word Islam also means peace.

The Founder of Islam was Muhammad. Muhammad's early life wasn't easy. At 570 C.E, Muhammad was born in the Makkah but  after 2 months his father died after. Muhammad's mother sent him to a family in the desert. His mother sent him there be-cause she believed that growing up in the open air would make the child strong and healthy. So Muhammad was raised for 5 years. The family lived in the desert and they taught Muham-mad to be kind to strangers and help orphans . When Muham-mad was six he went back home and unfortunately his mother died. So his grandfather took care of him. After 2 years his grandfather died. Finally, his uncle took care of him. After every-thing, Muhammad started to preach to other Makkans around 613 C.E. Muhammad thought that people should worship only one god. Muhammad preached the Makkans faith in God the Creator as the one and only God with no partners, no son, no

Muslims believe in Allah - the one and only God. There are other main beliefs for Islam like Muslims believe in the angels created by Allah. Muslims believe in Life after Death. And Mus-lims believe that Allah has taught the Muslims to understand what’s good and what evil is. Muslims believe in the Day of Re-birth Allah will wake the Muslims from our deaths and other things.Islamic people all believe In life after death. Worshippers show that they are faithful by praying everyday 5 times in differ-ent times either in the mosque or anywhere else. They usually pray in the mosque. The Holy book for Islam is the Quran. The Quran was written by Muhammad. Muhammad wrote it when he was told by the angel. The angel gave messages from God to Muhammad. The Quran is a really long book and it is 114 chap-ters long. The Quran explains everything. It explains the past, life, good  and bad, and other things. The main or special cele-brations are the ramadan feast(Eid Al-Fitr) and the Eid Al-Adha. For me I think the ramadan feast is more important be-cause you have to fast for about 1 month and it is special be-cause it is the holy month.
