About  the  Adult  Education  Program    

This  program  is  offered  to  our  ISB  community  by  the  Parent  Teacher  Auxiliary  for  the  International  School  of  Bangkok  in  Nichada  Thani  Thailand.    Payments  for  the  class  will  need  to  be  made  at  the  ISB  Registration  Office  at  the  front  of  the  school  (not  the  CAO  office  like  before).    Please  put  exact  cash  or  check  in  an  envelope  with  your  printed  registration  receipt  and  place  in  the  drop  box  labeled  Adult  Education  Program.  Office  hours  are  Monday  to  Friday  7:00AM  to  3:00PM.    This  box  will  be  available  during  the  online  registration  period  from  February  10th  to  February  17th  .    All  payments  must  include  a  printout  of  your  receipt  to  be  properly  allocated.    Payments  will  need  to  be  made  for  the  exact  amount  (there  will  not  be  anyone  available  to  make  change)  in  either  cash  or  check  payable  to  Kevin  Sypolt  (Parent  Teacher  Auxiliary).    Any  additional  charges  for  materials  are  listed  with  the  course  and  are  to  be  paid  directly  to  the  teacher.    Classes  are  subject  to  a  minimum  of  4  students.    If  we  are  unable  to  meet  this  requirement  you  will  be  notified  and  your  money  refunded.    Refunds  will  only  be  given  in  the  event  a  course  is  cancelled  due  to  lack  of  participants.    Please  remember  that  this  is  a  volunteer  run  fundraiser  for  the  International  School  of  Bangkok.    All  of  the  continued  support  from  teachers,  students,  and  the  ISB  community  is  greatly  appreciated.    Funds  raised  from  this  program  go  to  support  the  activities  of  your  PTA,  including  grants  supporting  our  students  at  ISB.    Please  contact  the  Adult  Education  Coordinator,  Ginger  Duval,  with  any  questions  about  the  program  and  classes.    Email:    ISBAdultEd@gmail.com

DANCE AND PHYSICAL FITNESS Beginner’s Tennis Clinic This course focuses on fundamentals of tennis including grip, forwardhand serve, backhand serve, level of the ball, and footwork. Previous playing experience is NOT required for participants of this course. Instructor: Coach Nueng has been a coach of the Panther Tennis Academy for a few years. He has also coached ISB varsity and BISAC teams over the past 3 years. A top level coach who is able to break it down for all levels of players. Dates: Mondays beginning March 3rd and ending April 7th Time: 7:15AM to 8:45AM Location: Srichaithong Village Court (outside back gate) Cost for 6 Classes: 4,300 baht Intermediate Tennis Clinic This clinic builds and reinforces on the basic fundamentals. This fun and easy going class will combine basic moves for complete beginners with more elaborate combinations for intermediate students. Beginner’s program includes basic salsa steps and turns, partner work and cross-body lead. Intermediate program includes combinations, multiple turns and styling. Upper intermediates will start working on dips and drops. Instructor: Nancy Le Nezet (worked previously with Jaleea Price) with guest instructors. Nancy has been dancing salsa for 15 years and taught previously in UK, France and Japan. Bollywood for Beginners Bollywood dance is a fusion of Indian classical dance and Western dance styles. It's fun, it's funky, it's sexy, and... it's a workout! In 4 easy lessons we will learn choreography to a Bollywood song. Instructor: Irit Namatinia – Our resident Bollywood expert who has been teaching and performing Bollywood for over 7 years. Dates: Thursday March 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th Time: 5:00PM to 6:00PM Location: Irit Namatinia’s home studio Cost for 4 Class Series: 1,300 baht Prenatal Yoga Yoga is the best, safest exercise to use during pregnancy. It’s also highly advised by doctors as a way of keeping fit, preventing unnecessary weight gain and lowering back pain. Yoga helps to calm the mind to help you prepare to give birth. This class will help you prepare for pregnancy and childbirth. You will learn prenatal yoga poses, breathing, prenatal and infant massage. Instructor: Napisa C. Pant – Certified Yoga teacher with over 450 hours of international training, including prenatal, therapy and restorative yoga. Twenty years of yoga practice and 14 years of dedicated teaching. She is certified in Thai Traditional Massage and Reflexology. Yoga helped her to make it full term with her pregnancy bringing her healthy and calm twins (boy and girl), breast feeding both for full year, gaining sense of confidence while losing 50 lbs after pregnancy. In addition it cured both her severe back pain and chronic fatigue. Kim is the the person behind all of the artwork used for the IFF publications. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Blogging for Beginners Have you wanted to share information with friends and family at home about your adventures in Thailand? This class will introduce you to the art of blogging. It will be taught on the free Wordpress platform that is used by many bloggers including ISB. From logging in the first time, including pictures and movies, to letting people know how to get to your blog, we will cover the basics of setting up your blog. When you leave the class you will have a fully functional blog!
