Introduction to Officiating

The ITOC includes instruction in all Track & Field events, combining the theory of rules with

their practical application, along with the important aspects of safety, venue set up,

recording results and handling of equipment.

Time: Three hours in length with the start time to be confirmed once registrations open

Cost: FREE to LAVic parents/volunteers

$20 for Non members

Registrations close on the Wednesday before each course.

Officials / Parent helpers are very important to the effective functioning of Centre weekly

competition. There are a large number of different roles and positions that need to be

filled at each competition, some require technical knowledge and experiences, whilst

others are basic and only require a limited understanding of athletics.

This course is aimed giving new and returning parents basic but overall knowledge on how

to run all aspects of a Little Athletics weekly Centre competition.
