If the gas cooktop is to be used with anycombination of additional cooktop units ormodules with a filler strip, the cut-out width iscalculated by adding the corresponding units'cut-out dimensions plus 32 mm for each addi-tional unit. Refer to the illustration below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When multiple units areinstalled side by side, each unit must have itsown separate recommended electrical circuit.

When two or more modules are installedtogether, an integrated module filler strip(IFILLER/S) is recommended. Contact yourWolf dealer for information on these accessorycomponents.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The natural gas cooktopis rated for elevations up to 2438 m withoutadjustment. Install a high altitude kit forelevations from 2438 to 3084 m. The LP gascooktop is rated for 3084 m.

The rating plate, located on the underside ofthe burner box, has information on the typeof gas that should be used. If this informa-tion does not agree with the type of gasavailable, check with the local gas supplier.

EXPLOSION HAZARD—

Securely tighten all external gasconnections.

Failure to do so can result in explosion, fire or death.

GAS SUPPLY R E Q U I R E M E N T S

Provide a gas supply line of 19 mm rigidpipe to the cooktop location. A smallersize pipe on long runs may result ininsufficient gas supply. Pipe jointcompounds, suitable for use with LP gasshould be used. For LP gas, piping ortubing size can be 13 mm minimum. LPgas suppliers usually determine the sizeand materials used on the system.

If local codes permit, a flexible metalappliance connector is recommended forconnecting this cooktop to the gassupply line. Do not kink or damage theflexible connector when moving thecooktop. You will need to determine thefittings required, depending on the sizeof your gas supply line, flexible metalconnector and shut-off valve.

If rigid pipe is used as a gas supply line,a combination of pipe fittings must beused to obtain an in-line connection tothe cooktop. All strains must be removedfrom the supply and gas lines so thecooktop will be level and in line.

COOKTO P O P E R AT I O N

The cooktop burner uses an electronic igniterin place of a standing pilot. When the cooktopcontrol knob is pushed in and turned to the

position, the system creates a spark tolight the burner. This sparking continues for 4seconds or until the electronic ignition sensesa flame, which ever comes first. If the igniterfails to ignite the gas in 4 seconds, the gassafety shutoff valve will close, eliminating thegas flow for 5 seconds. The valve will reopenafter the purge time of 5 seconds, and theigniter will automatically attempt to re-ignitethe gas. This cycle of events is attempted 3times. After the third attempt, in order for gasto flow to the burner once again, the user mustreturn the knob to the position and thenturn the knob to the position.
