Conference Information

After eleven successful meetings since the inauguration in Toulouse, France in 1983, theInternational Conference on Conduction and Breakdown in Solid Dielectrics (ICSD) nowopens the door to liquid and gaseous dielectrics to give birth to the International Conferenceon Dielectrics (ICD). The widening of the scope is in recognition of the fact that manybreakthroughs in science occur at the interface between different areas and that the solid,liquid and gaseous dielectrics communities will benefit from more interaction.The first edition of a series of biennial International Conferences on Dielectrics, fully sponsoredby IEEE DEIS, will take place in Montpellier, France, from Sunday 3rd until Thursday 7thJuly 2016. The ICD is an interdisciplinary forum that provides a unique opportunity forresearchers from industry, academia and research centers to come together to review theirresearch activities.The conference will run for four full days and one half day. Tutorial session will be held on thefirst day of the conference. Papers are invited in all areas of solid, liquid and gas dielectricswith a focus on the following areas listed below. Special attention is given to topics focusingon the interfaces between solids, liquids and gases.

Conference Sessions

The conference consists of eight oral sessions for a total of 57 presentations and nine postersessions covering 246 presentations.

Instructions for contributors

Oral

Oral papers can be presented using Microsoft Power Point or Libreoffice Impress. A pdf viewerwill also be available. Each speaker has to upload the presentation at the Registration deskby means of a USB memory stick at least 30 minutes prior to the opening of the respectiveOral Session. Presentations should be no more than 15 minutes long. Additional 5 minuteswill be allowed for questions and answers. Keynote Papers will have a total of 30 minutes, 25minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions. All speakers for a session will meettheir session chairman half-an-hour before the opening of the session in the Author’s room.Session chairs will enforce the time limits. Out of respect to the other authors, please do notexceed the time limits.

Poster

The poster board is 200 cm high by 100 cm wide. The size of the poster should be A0 (118.9x 84.1 cm),please arrange text and figures in vertical order (portrait). There may be twoposters per poster board (placed on the opposite sides). Please fix your poster at least 15 minbefore your poster session has started. Posters fixing utensils will be provided for you to usein mounting your paper on the poster board. Session chairs will be available to assist you ifrequired. The poster should be left on display for the entire session which will run for about 2hours. After the session, the poster must be promptly removed.
