● Bangkok Airport: HUB for the traffic coming from North Vietnam
● Export and Import requirements: HS code, relevant import license.
● Market practice: all exporters arrange their own trucking for FOB shipments so there is no opportunity for the freight forwarder to participate and gain profit from EXW charges.

● Airfreight: Specialized in handling high end fashion goods
● Export requirements: The shipper must have a trade business license (SIUP)
● Import requirements:
- Original MB/L and HB/L must be issued (to be sent latest 4 days after vessel departure)
- For the MB/L the shipper is the agent but the consignee is the actual importer (as per invoice or packing list) NOT the freight forwarder

● Air Freight: one of the few foreign companies with licence for custom clearance
● Export requirements:
- carriers can release the empty container only 5 days before vessel ETA;
- the shipper must submit the shipping instructions complete with HS code,invoice and packing list at least 3 working days before the vessel ETA; for the freight forwarder to handle the custom clearance, an appointment letter is needed.

● Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi are the main ports: BOTH are NOT DEEP SEA ports and can accept only feeder vessels
● Airfreight: Import very little due to import license and all the shipments to the north are not direct.
● Import requirements: consignee needs to have the import license, original commercial invoice and packing list are always requested for customs clearance.
- the import license can be required ONLY AFTER the vessel departure.
