Instructions on how to connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth® using thepairing feature of the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system.(All examples shown are using the Comand system)

For a connection between your mobile phone and your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system to besuccessful Bluetooth® must be turned on in your mobile phone. Please make sure to also read theoperating and pairing instructions of the mobile phone.

Please follow the steps below to connect your mobile phone (Samsung SCH-i535 Galaxy S III) with themobile phone application of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system using Bluetooth®.

Step 1 (to be performed on your Samsung SCH-i535 Galaxy S III)

From the main screen of your mobile phone,1.Push the "Applications" button and then find the “Settings” App2.Select "Settings"3.Select the option "Bluetooth"4.Select the option to turn on Bluetooth®5.Make your Samsung SCH-i535 Galaxy S III visible by selecting its name at the top of the screen.

Please note that your mobile phone will be visible now for 120 seconds. During this time the pairingprocess must be started on the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system.

Step 2

To get to the telephone screen of your Mercedes-Benzhands-free system press the “TEL” key on the radio or selectphone.

Step 3

Select the "Phone" application located in the lower left corner.

Step 4

Select the "Phone List" application.

Step 5

Select the "Update" function.

Step 6

The system will now search for any Bluetooth® compatible phones. This may take some time dependingon how many devices are found by the system.

Step 7

Once the system completes searching select your mobilephone (example "My phone") from the list.

Step 8

To connect your mobile phone to your Mercedes-Benzhands-free system enter a unique 1 to 16 digit passcode(password) using the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Toguarantee a successful Bluetooth® connection it isrecommended that at least a 4 digit passcode (password) isused.

Select "Ok" to confirm.

To complete the connection process follow the steps belowand enter the passcode (password) previously entered in step8 on the keypad of your mobile phone.

Step 9 (to be performed on your Samsung SCH-i535 Galaxy S III)

1. "Bluetooth® pairing request / Type PIN to pair with MB Bluetooth" will be shown on your mobilephone.

2. Please enter your passkey. This passkey must be identical to the passkey you entered in theMercedes-Benz hands-free system.3. Confirm the passkey by selecting "OK".4. If there is a pop-up "Contacts/phonebook request: MB Bluetooth would like to access your contactsand call history. Allow MB Bluetooth access?/Give access to MB Bluetooth?" select "OK"

Step 10

If the authorization was successful a PopUp appears on yourMercedes-Benz hands-free system.

Step 11

After your mobile phone is successfully connected viaBluetooth® to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system thename of your mobile (example "My Phone") phone will bedisplayed in the lower left corner above the “Phone” icon.
