At the outset, I would like show my gratitude to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, for successfully delivering its ITEC/SCAAP (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation/and Special Commonwealth Assistance for Africa Program), an advanced educational initiative for developing countries. The ITEC/SCAAP Program and NIIT

The ITEC/SCAAP program was launched in 1964 as a bilateral program of

assistance of the Government of India. Under this program, candidates

from 161 countries are trained in some of the best Institutions in the

fields of Information Technology, Rural Development, Management,

Accounts, and Environment and Renewable Energy.

The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has entrusted NIIT

to impart quality IT training.

The ITEC/SCAAP Programme has thefollowing components:

n Training (civilian and defence) in India of nominees from

ITEC partner countries

n Projects and project related activities such as feasibility

studies and consultancy services

n Deputation of Indian experts abroad

n Study Tours

n Gifts/Donations of equipment at the request of ITEC

partner countries

n Aid for Disaster Relief

NIIT Advantage

n This course is planned as per the international curriculum of Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) and Microsoft certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

Diploma in Advanced Networking:

n The English language programs enable participants to get familiar with basic

English grammar. They will be trained on global English at the workplace with

stress on communication skills, personality development and all round fluency

in the language.

n The Certificate Course in Verbal Linguistics and Web Development is designed

for participants who want to build a career in software development and

want to learn Web and Enterprise Application using Sun Technologies.





Allowances and Venue

Allowances

This training program is being funded by the Government of

India. A monthly allowance as per the Ministry guidelines will

be allocated to all the participants for their day-to-day

requirements. The participants will also be given Economy

Class air tickets from Indian Mission of their country.

Venue of the Training Programs

The venue for all programs will be in and around New Delhi.

The venue will have a state-of-art lab facility and classrooms

that provide a conducive learning environment.

How to Apply

The interested candidates can participate in the programs through the following procedure:

n Contact the nearest Indian Embassy or High Commission in your country and fill the nomination form.

n Forward the completely filled nomination form through your respective organization to the nearest Indian Embassy or High Commission.

n The Indian Embassy or High Commission will then forward the form to the

Technical Co-operation Division of Ministry of External Affairs,

Government of India and copy to the NIIT Office in New Delhi.

n On approval by the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, the Indian

Embassy or High Commission will arrange for the candidate's travel to

and fro at the expense of Government of India.




Study Tour

India is popular for its rich cultural

heritage, world famous monuments

and its cuisine.

During their stay the participants

will get an opportunity to tour

three cities in three different

states. These include Delhi, Agra

and Jaipur.

During their visit to Delhi,

participants will get an opportunity

to see historical monuments like

the Red Fort, India Gate, Jama

Masjid, Lotus Temple etc.

In Agra the participants can

explore the beauty of the world

famous Taj Mahal.

The visual treat of Amer Fort,

Jaipur Palace, Hawa Mahal and

Chaukidhani etc. will be a part of

the Jaipur trip.
