Robin - Learn blogging by creating a blog, learn wikis by adding links to their blog to the staff wiki, learn Flickr by uploading pics and posting them to their blog, etc. All online, all blog-based (asynchronous) so that people can learn at their own pace when it is convenient for them. Support comes from co-workers who "got it" on that lesson or from leaders - but we were a last resort.Lots of pointers to new tools for them to learn about and "other resources"Bobbi Robin* 60% of PCC terminals point to MySpace after 3:30pm, questions about Wikipedia, blogs, MySpace, etc from patrons that staff couldn't answer* ?* Gave staff some structure/guidance, but less formal than traditional training

BobbiRobin* started with Gmail for automatic blogger account* learn about blogs by writing one!* Google's Reader wasn't available yet* Bookmarked all the links for all the lessons and made them available via del.icio.us* podcasted intros and explanations for early lessons* broadcasted lesson topics & links each week via email, staff was comfy with that, stillBobbiRobinPerhaps not a great idea - would have given some perspective to the reasons why we chose this formatBobbiRobin* presentation of certificates by director at all-staff meetings (public acclaim!)* desk "stuff" for people to show off* everyone who completed got an MP3 playerBobbiRobinRobinBobbi
